I was also at this point and contacted Chris Junge. By listening openly and asking specific questions, he helped me to readjust my perspective on my issues and to engage in better self-reflection. There was never a 0/8/15 solution but individual approaches.

As a web design entrepreneur, I had been self-employed for several years before I met Chris. At the time we met, I was already making five-figure monthly sales, but I was in a typical phase of stagnation where I didn't know how to increase my sales and land new client contracts.

This also affected my mental health, as I simply didn't realize what else I could change. There were also the typical hurdles when it came to managing employees: how can leadership be learned? How do I challenge my employees without putting too much pressure on them? Through the 1:1 mentoring with Chris, I managed to get new levers in motion after only four weeks. He helped me as an entrepreneur to improve my marketing and thus receive new customer inquiries. He dissolved mental blocks within a few weeks due to his extraordinarily empathetic and calm manner. The first-class mentoring on leadership alone was more than worth the investment.

We, the voluntary all-day school of the Gymnasium am Schloss have conducted a course with the Academy 8 in the period 25.7-29.7.2022. The project was just great and the children had great fun. It was designed very diversified and motivating. On the one hand, the children learned many defense techniques, on the other hand, alternative movement and learning games were carried out. We can only recommend Academy 8 and its professional and pedagogically competent trainers and look forward to further projects.

I have been a member of this special family for almost 5 years. Why do I use the word "family" well, because here you are immediately warmly welcomed and the feeling is transmitted to be at the right time in the right place.

What I have learned over the years from Chris & other wonderful instructors is that my self-esteem & confidence is related to martial arts. Likewise, I have been allowed to discover strengths that I didn't think were possible. My consciousness has become more alert through training, better said, with each training I was able to get in tune with my mind. I was allowed to prove this already to the next rank.

Since fall 2021, the training for children is also offered & also here I was allowed to notice positive changes in my 9-year-old daughter.

Would I recommend Ak8 to others? Of course! It would be irresponsible not to, because everyone should be able to go through life safely and confidently.

The training at AK8 is very good. The trainers bring an incredible amount of knowledge and can convey this very understandably.

The other members are all super nice and help each other. New members are immediately friendly and welcome.

The training with Chris in the academy is an enrichment for everyone and I can recommend it to everyone. Both physically and mentally for their own development an absolute MUST.

It's all to the point when I say in one sentence: Training at AK8 has changed my life from the ground up.

At that time, I had started training because I was interested in self-defense. At the time, I was plagued by a lot of insecurities, dissatisfactions and my self-confidence was low.
So I just wanted to "get a taste".
From the first lesson on I felt very comfortable with the group. Everyone was/is accepted as you are, everyone is welcome: it's a nice feeling of family :)
So I stuck with it and quickly noticed the effect of the (physical) training.
Chris and his advanced students taught us super effective, sensible defense methods that we could implement directly without any prior knowledge. In addition, my fitness increased, my body image improved and self-confidence gradually grew from the inside out :)
Training became the biggest part of my life and I was allowed to learn many other things besides self-defense (on the mat and also off the mat) about life in general, relationships and about myself.
AK8 is, in my opinion, a place where growth, cohesion and meaningfulness are lived on many levels.
It is therefore far, far more than a self-defense school.
Over the years we also experienced great highlights: traveling together to seminars with teachers from different countries, joint summer parties, city trips, somehow there's always something going on :D

As a conclusion I can say that thanks to AK8 I learned to stand up for myself, to enjoy community, to strengthen myself physically as well as mentally > self-defense on all levels, so to speak.
With each technique that protects myself, I began to interact differently with myself and other people outside of training.

Today I have become a more aware person, always learning and AK8 has helped me profoundly.

The training in AK8 has helped me to get fit again and to evaluate my everyday stress differently. I look forward to every possible workout and sharing with newfound friends. The only thing I wish is that I had met Chris earlier and started the wonderful Kenpo training.

In this day and age, which is becoming increasingly insecure, it can only be recommended to everyone to maintain or build up their own fitness, endurance and health. The result: to strengthen the own sense of security and to refuel strength for the everyday life with every training are inevitable.

I can not imagine any other academy for martial arts. With a lot of patience the teaching about martial arts is passed on, no matter if you are slow and always an open ear for advice if you are not at peace with yourself. My youngest daughter is in the AK8 Kids and is just as excited as I am. The Academy 8 of Chris Junge I always recommend , the martial arts helps to get the head free , the everyday stress of job and much more. In martial arts you get to know your body and mind.
On to the martial arts in the Academy 8 to Chris Junge.

I had my personal experience with Academy 8 and martial arts expert Chris Junge in early 2020 at Lufthansa's LATC Schwaig. At that time, I worked as an administrator and organizer in the advanced training for flight attendants. This consisted of so-called MyQ seminars, whereby a wide selection of wine, gourmet, cultural and relaxation seminars as well as various language courses were offered.
Finally, in 2020, some new seminars were introduced. One in particular, in my opinion, brings significant added value to participants: "Attendo" - verbal and non-verbal self-defense in conflict situations.
The importance of a person/flight attendant, regardless of weight or age, being able to defend himself in an airplane, even disabling the troublemaker, is not just an unreal wishful thinking, as Chris Junge was able to prove.
During the two-day seminar, which included a healthy mix of theory and practice, the highlight was to reenact everything learned 1:1 in various conflict situations in an airplane mockup (narrow aisles, little space, in the front of the galley). At the request of the participants, concrete positions were simulated and tested to see how one could free oneself from them on the one hand and put an end to the conflict situation on the other. As indicated at the beginning, the fascinating thing was not the physical fitness/strength that played a role, but primarily the technique. After the usual feedback round at the end of a seminar, it quickly became clear that "Attendo" by Chris Junge will be a permanent, indispensable part of further training for flight attendants.

The seminar was very interesting and the lecturers friendly, funny and professional. In the academy you can consolidate and deepen what you have learned. For this reason, I have signed up as a member.

The offer was extremely interesting, sensitizing and instructive. It was very well adapted to individual situations and participants. Furthermore, the various units were very authentic, which led to an increased learning effect. Personally, one always felt taken seriously and in a good learning atmosphere. All staff members were sympathetic and empathetic. Important experience and good days, happy to recommend.

I have trained with Chris Junge myself as well as worked with him on a professional level (at school) and am very satisfied on both levels. The training is a lot of fun and the techniques are effective and memorable. You quickly gain confidence. I can only recommend such training to everyone. The students of the community school also had a lot of fun and learned a lot about violence prevention and self-defense, which will be deepened in further follow-up sessions. I think it is important to make children and young people fit and strengthened in this area. It is not only about the ability to protect oneself in crisis situations and to solve conflicts appropriately, but also about strengthening self-esteem. Chris Junge supports and promotes these goals with his training.
