Dr. Schmitz's extensive experience in diagnostics and therapy is evident, leading him to reliable assessments. He always looks for gentle and effective treatment options. As a triathlete, I had been suffering from knee pain after every running training session for several months (patellar tendinopathy). After a single treatment with Dr. Schmitz (fascia therapy), this pain was completely gone and I was able to train again without any restrictions.

After a long search, I finally found an orthopedist in Dr. Michael Schmitz who is very competent and empathetic. During my first visit, he had a lot of time for me, so that I could calmly present my complaints. He is a doctor who does not immediately prescribe strong medication, but tries to heal in a gentle way. Unfortunately, it is rare to find such a capable and humane orthopedist today. He sees not only the physical complaints, but also the psyche of the patient. I will not consult any other orthopedist in the future.

This also applies to the assistants and, of course, especially to the doctor. His diagnoses and treatments show that he breaks new ground when medically necessary. Before the use of injections or even knives is considered, alternative, milder but nevertheless effective procedures are used, whose side effects consist above all in also activating the body's self-healing powers.

The first time I was here due to a recommendation and I am fully on enthusiastic. After several treatments by other doctors, my problem did not improve, then I made an appointment with Dr. Schmitz. I am not a private patient, I have to pay out of my own pocket, but it is worth it, because already after the first treatment I notice the success. A big thank you to Dr. Schmitz. Super doctor and super service in the practice. I can only recommend him 100%.

Due to bad post-traumatic degenerations in the spine area, I have had a few experiences with orthopedists working for health insurance companies over the last 15 years, which I would have gladly done without.
I still know Dr Schmitz from his old place of work and followed him in 2018 as a self-payer on his new path.
