I am currently sitting in a retraining program to become an IT specialist for application development. I was promised everything in advance, only for me to sign the contract. Now that I have completed the training for a few months, I can only advise against taking this path with IBB.
The classes are held in an eLearning center that constantly has technical problems. There you find yourself again with many different other retrainees with many different levels of knowledge. There is no pre-selection of participants. People with several years of programming experience sit together with people to whom you still have to explain the keyboard.
The lecturers then usually hold a 90 minute lecture, where you have to be lucky to get up-to-date knowledge. Sometimes, individual lecturers also slide into the queer-thinker area, and tell in IT lessons how dangerous vaccination is and how evil the state is.
The class times themselves are far too few and very poorly organized. The timetable for a week is given to you on the Friday before at the earliest. This usually has serious gaps and sometimes you sit 5 hours at the site without employment or contact person. Complaints about this are simply ignored by the site management and the overall management.
The equipment in the workplace is inadequate. Chairs fall apart, laptops are sometimes several years old and you only get limited access to the equipment. Another tiny monitor is provided, but a second one, as is usual for programming, is denied.
Corona protection measures do not exist at all. Sometimes up to a dozen students of various disciplines are crammed into small rooms, with the instruction to ventilate only very rarely in order to save energy. In the last three weeks alone (as of 11/22/2022), there have been three corona cases here at the site with no consequences. Home office is completely refused, although this is offered on the IBB website as a teaser.
There are no uniform regulations on this. While some locations do offer home office, at other locations the participants are not allowed to leave the premises.
All in all, IBB tries to get a signature under its contract by any means and then drops the participants. One is kept here, there is no individual support and also promised certificates can either not be acquired at all or only against further monetary payment.
It is better to look for another provider.
