I have a year full of new insights, methods and perspectives behind me. The Leaders Academy has changed me a lot in both my personal and professional career. The training has given me a new perspective on many things. I would especially like to thank Sonja Bödecker, who is always on hand with help and advice. I was particularly pleased that I was able to take part in the training even as a student. It has been a year of learning, personal development and professional progress and I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to have participated in an outstanding leadership training program.

At the beginning of the training, my professional life was stressful, I was involved in many processes that took me away from my actual work as an IT manager - but which I still considered important. However, thanks to the 24 modules over the course of the year, I managed to develop personally and only focus on the things that affect my area and my team.

This is not only due to the content of the program, but above all to the presentation and personal support from Sonja Bödecker. Sonja always ensured that the content was communicated in a way that was easy to understand and that the participants' personal concerns were always addressed individually. Right from the very first training session, Sonja encouraged us to hold confidential discussions with our employees and the feedback from my team was great. An all-around successful leadership training.
The catering with enough snacks for in between and a lunch on site was more than sufficient every time and always very tasty.
The rooms of the M44 Meeting Center in Münster as a venue have each time enabled a pleasant and trouble-free course of the training.
Particularly noteworthy is the appreciative interaction with each other. Everyone was respected and included in the discussions and topics.
The personality analysis was also very exciting and interesting. Here I was able to learn a lot about myself and my external impact.

Basically, it was and is the right decision to attend the training. It brought to light many hidden aspects of internal actions and explained the everyday madness. Only by being able to recognize these could they be tackled and improved with the appropriate approach. How sustainable the change will be remains to be seen. However, optimism is well founded.

At Focus Leadership, the motto was "All aboard". To be precise, it was about change processes in the company and the difficulty of taking all employees, with their concerns and fears, by the hand in order to manage the change together. In the 360° Leadership Training with Sojna Bödecker, I successfully dealt with the 6 competence areas of good leadership for 24 modules. Monthly face-to-face seminars, expert videos, various reflection tasks and the online academy accompanied me during this time. The motto was learning in small units. The regularity ensured a networked, implementable understanding that could be put into practice very well. The different points of view were very good. Thank you dear Sonja; it was once again an extraordinarily profitable day that we were able to spend together with you. I was able to awaken the corporate culture of my company after a really exhausting, but also successful day.

Unfortunately, many people do not yet know their own corporate culture. It consists of the Core Purpose, the Core Values and the BHAG. On this day, guided by Sonja Bödecker, I discovered the Core Purpose and thus the meaning and purpose or the why of my company and was able to put it into short words. Actually, the why has always been there, but I was not as aware of it as I am today.

The Core Values that I then developed are certain principles, behaviors and basic beliefs. They define the culture and personality of my company. We worked these out over a thought mission to Mars, with very many important insights. If I am now asked for permission, I can say: "If you think you have to ask me for permission, first consult our Core Values.

I now also know the third important building block of my corporate culture, the BHAG of my company, i.e. our big, bold audacious goal that lies 10 years in the future. I am already looking forward to having achieved this BHAG.

The module "We have to talk", which is the topic of Focus Leadership and was excellently presented by Sonja Bödecker, should in my opinion be experienced by every manager.
Communication is so multifaceted and requires certain rules to be observed. As a manager, you should be familiar with the difference between a persuasive conversation and an informational conversation with the different approaches, as well as the seven hurdles of communication. This also has a supportive effect on critical and difficult employee discussions. I feel very well prepared for future unpleasant conversations as a result of this module. Thank you for this experience.

The topic "We need to talk" led by Sonja Bödecker, together with the expert Rene Borbonus was an extremely important topic for me as a manager. We spent a whole successful day dealing with the topic of communication. First of all, it was about clarity in conversation by overcoming hurdles, so that sender and receiver actually understand the intended content of the message and do not talk past each other. The main focus was then on difficult conversations, which were worked out using concrete examples of my own with very many useful techniques in such a way that I look forward to implementing them.
