After moving to Germany and without having a strong command of the German language, I found myself facing the daunting task of filing my income tax return for the first time. Fortunately, Alexander Tews from the company Lohnlotse e.V. (Lohnsteuerhilfeverein) was recommended to me by my colleagues, and what had the potential to be a long and complicated process turned into something relatively simple and straightforward.

I have already been served by various tax consultants, all of whom have provided decent services. Often, however, the forecasts regarding the tax refund diverged in a coarser way.
