Our team of more than 40 professional music teachers are highly qualified, friendly and experienced in teaching complete beginners through to advanced musicians. Whether you want to take your very first lesson, prepare for graded music exams, or study towards professional opportunities in the music industry, we offer the right support and guidance to help you reach your goals.

We provide lessons in guitar, piano, singing, drums, violin, cello, saxophone, flute, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, ukulele, viola, bass guitar, music theory, songwriting and composition. Every lesson is tailored to each student’s needs, with a focus on enjoyment, confidence building, and developing real musical skills. Our flexible approach allows students to learn at their own pace, while still benefitting from structured, professional tuition.

Our teaching studios in Morningside, Edinburgh, are modern, well-equipped, and welcoming. For students unable to attend in person, we also provide high-quality online music lessons to learners throughout the UK and worldwide. Many of our students combine in-person and online lessons, allowing maximum flexibility and continuity of learning.

Morningside School of Music offers full preparation for ABRSM, Rockschool and Trinity graded exams, helping students gain qualifications that are respected across the world. Our teachers also coach students for school, college and university auditions, as well as professional stage and studio performances. Beyond exams, many of our students simply enjoy learning for fun, developing their musical abilities at their own pace in a supportive and encouraging environment.
