We have been with Pazuru ( BJJ kids) at the Solingen location for 1.5 years and have been thrilled with the holistic concept and the outstanding athletic and pedagogical competence of the trainers from the very first training.
At that time, we were looking for a sporting hobby for our son, which proved to be difficult - as he neither liked volume and large groups, nor showed interest in most sports.
Whistles, screaming coaches and locker rooms full of noisy kids were just too much for him and we often got no further than the doorstep.
Shortly after the separation from his father, it was also important to me that my son found a role model and male role orientation in the trainer/sport - yelling and impersonal trainers were not very helpful, but often to be found.
In addition, there were problems with classmates in the school entrance phase, with which my son could not deal well - which had the consequence that he often had stomach ache and did not want to go to school.
For months we tried different clubs and sports facilities and then we found Pazuru.
The concept made me curious and
the arrangement of the trial training was uncomplicated and the feedback was super fast.
On the day of training, the trainer knew we were coming and picked up my ( at the time) very shy son emotionally and physically so professional on the mat - according to the motto:
It must come from the heart, which should act on the heart.
Although he did not know my son, he knew exactly how to motivate him and what he needed to participate in the training.
The individual mixture of fun and discipline, of movement and conversation, the teaching of values and the meeting at eye level is unique. As a parent, it is always a great pleasure to watch the training and to feel the enthusiasm of the children (and coaches).
Very quickly you could see the changes in my son...his self-confidence grew, he was able to solve conflicts at school on his own with the skills learned from the mat talks and his favorite coach is one of his great role models.
The bi-annual belt exams are a great motivator for the kids and the event is an unforgettable experience every time - for kids and parents.
The training is varied, the changing monthly themes are age-appropriate and also address current topics in a child-friendly way (e.g. Corona, wars and media use).
Throughout, you can feel the heart and soul, the seemingly inexhaustible creativity and the commitment that Ira Paul and her team bring to the mat for the children every day.
In the meantime, training has become a fixed and important part of family life and my son loves going to training.
On the part of Pazuru you always find an open ear, quick reactions and solutions and professional organization.
The contribution is absolutely justified and the performance that Pazuru brings for the children and their development - not only athletically - actually priceless!
We experience Pazuru as a great enrichment for our lives and recommend it constantly.
Pazuru is more than just a sports program for children - Pazuru is family.
