Assessment of the funeral director
We as a family would like to thank the Schulz & Sohn funeral home and especially our personal advisor, Susanne Melde, for the very good care we received. Already in the preliminary discussions in October 2023, in order to have a funeral director for a possible death in the family, we realized that in this house our wishes and ideas would be implemented in the best possible way. The person we spoke to at all our appointments was extremely knowledgeable and professional. There was a precise answer to every question, and it was clear that she was able to put herself in our shoes and focus on our family and our wishes. She always found the right words to illuminate and work through all the important issues of the funeral. My mother-in-law passed away on 26.11.2023 and we contacted Ms. Melde to put all the arrangements in place.
No matter how well prepared you were, day X, the anniversary of your family member's death and the day of the funeral, is a special day when you really need professional support and we got it. Ms. Melde accompanied us sensitively through this very difficult time. She also managed to give us support and strength on the day of the funeral with her unobtrusive presence. She explained the process to us again in a few words and then withdrew so that we could say our goodbyes. In the ceremony hall, she found words about the life of the deceased that were touching.
The funeral service and the walk with the urn to the grave were dignified.
A funeral home employee cannot do more for a grieving family.

Everything imaginable was taken care of with absolute accuracy and reliability. During the preparations for the funeral, I was informed in detail about all the options (urn, floral arrangements, funeral sets, candles, petals, photos, newspaper ads). The arranged speaker even took the time on the holiday to create an excellent speech together. The delivery was great and was rated "very modern" by the mourners.

They have taken a lot of work off our hands and were able to help us with everything. Among other things, they applied for death certificates, made all necessary cancellations and terminations (e.g. insurance, offices, health insurance, nursing care insurance, cable television, ...).
All employees always had comforting words for us and gave us time to choose a beautiful urn!
