DJ Headcrack - Event DJ

Simply perfect, there is nothing more to say. 5 stars are absolutely not enough! It does not get any better.

Carsten aka DJ Headcrack played at our wedding on 04.03. and we can only say: anytime again.

We wanted a DJ who can serve our taste in music from the field of metal and alternative as well as the wishes of the guests who do not like only loud guitars.

From the first contact via whatsapp and skype he immediately conveyed to us that he understands what we would like and so it was.
He is super professional, gave us lists of musical wishes and absolute no-go's in advance, has perfectly coordinated everything with his equipment and that of the location and served us a great wedding party. So there was everything from rock of the last 60 years to pop of the 80s and 90s to metal what the heart desires.
Even more special and scene-specific music requests he can easily serve.

So all in all really unreservedly recommended as a DJ for events and celebrations.

Oh, and he is also very friendly. :)

I was looking for a DJ for a birthday party with 50 people and made the best choice with Carsten. The contact was fast, uncomplicated and completely relaxed with his open manner.
The pre-selection of the playlist was difficult for me, because different genres should be considered. But Carsten did an excellent job with everything, so it was never empty on the dance floor. Everyone fidgeted until deep into the night and Carsten was there with heart and soul.
The light effects were also great and were the icing on the cake.
All guests were happy and the party was a complete success.

I can only recommend Carsten. If you are looking for a DJ for a great party, you should definitely book him.

Carsten played at our wedding last weekend and already created a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere during the reception and dinner with gaming and movie classics. Later in the evening Carsten provided a great party atmosphere. Our wishes, which we recorded in the questionnaires and discussed by mail and in a conversation on Zoom, he implemented perfectly. He managed to bring together different genres and let them seamlessly merge. Feedback from our guests, both those with similar musical tastes to ours and those with completely different musical tastes, was also overwhelmingly positive. The dance floor was never empty and we had a great evening! Carsten also brought the appropriate light. The communication in advance was also very uncomplicated and relaxed.

Carsten was now for the 3rd time on one of our celebrations and has again provided a great atmosphere. He is super friendly and hits the perfect music selection. All guests from young to old had fun and the dance floor was always well filled. We are already looking forward to a next celebration with Carsten.

One thing in advance: I would give 6 stars if it were possible.

Since music is a very important topic for me, it was not easy to find a DJ. We were searching for a DJ for our wedding for months. I was in contact with half a dozen DJs and we almost hired one, but somehow it was never a 100% fit.

We didn't want 0815 music from the charts, we dislike that. Our musical taste is more in the area of gothic, rock, punk, metal but also 80s, synthwave and selected pieces from other genres; a heterogeneous, not so simple mix.

For this I created a prioritized, filterable Excel/LibreOffice spreadsheet with 882 music tracks, roughly representing our musical taste. A DJ we were in contact with waved us off at this point, saying it was "not the way he would play" (retrospectively, I'm very happy about this rejection).

Carsten discussed our ideas with us in several video meetings. His sympathetic manner and openness to our wishes very quickly convinced us that we had finally found the right man for the job. Apart from his friendly manner, this was of course also due to the fact that we had quite a few overlaps in terms of musical preferences.

The evening itself was musically a complete success. The dance floor was always full, which surprised me a bit in view of the rather heterogeneous audience. Carsten found the right mix of songs from our list and appropriate music that appealed to the broad masses. At times, even the entire wedding party was on the dance floor. Never thought I would see my almost 70-year-old mother dancing to VNV Nation, but the atmosphere was simply unique.

During and after the celebration we were asked by many guests where we found this DJ - long search and a little luck ;)

Who is musically away from the mainstream, I can only warmly recommend Carsten.

Technically convincing were also sound and light equipment. What also had a positive effect on me personally was the renunciation of overpriced apple hardware.

I also found it positive that Carsten can be reached in many ways, besides the obligatory e-mails, Zoom and Telegram were also possible for timely (video) chats.

Price-wise, Carsten does not compete with the discounter DJs at the lower end of the price scale, you have to shell out a bit more money. But that's fine, better to pay a little more and be sure that the music will be great, than to save money at the wrong end and the evening will be crap, because the DJ doesn't understand the audience. The latter I have already experienced a few times at other events, that spoils the whole evening.

DJ headcrack did the music at our wedding reception and we were very pleased. The selection was exactly as we wanted including special requests for the wedding dance. Also super uncomplicated so we did not have to worry about anything. The atmosphere was great, also because the DJ himself knows every text by heart and really celebrated with us. Gladly again:)

We booked Carsten for our wedding and are more than happy to have found and selected him as our DJ. Such an insanely cool and likeable guy, who finds a balance between the different tastes of the people with his relaxed but also thoroughly professional manner, you can just consistently rate with 5*****. This rating is definitely not bought! Carsten is just that good, period!
Also all the support during the wedding planning and his uncomplicated way to react flexibly to changes took a lot of worries away from us. You can see his passion for music and his commitment to the bride and groom to make the most beautiful day come true.

When reading the previous reviews I had to smile a bit - after all, all previous commentators have written exactly what I would like to write now - but well, repetition helps to consolidate what has been captured ;-)

We met Carsten as guests at a wedding and were so impressed that we knew we needed exactly this DJ at our wedding too. Thanks to Corona, we had to postpone our wedding several times, from June 2020 to June 2021 and then again to October 2021. Over "all these years" (unfortunately, one must say so) Carsten was a constant all the time (the term was used here before) and has helped us with his experience, his uncomplicated responsiveness, but also the always (sometimes more, sometimes less subliminal :-D) resonating desire to celebrate ;-) over time. On the day of the wedding itself, Carsten simply delivered: from the wedding dance until 04:00 in the morning, the dance floor was full. Although a wedding party tends to be very heterogeneous in its musical tastes, Carsten simply picked up everyone, there was dancing, shouting, cheering, screaming and celebrating for hours. And the best: Carsten really lives his profession (or vocation) and cheers and sings along the whole time. Wonderful! Nothing, simply nothing at all we would have wanted to do differently. Whoever asks us for a DJ will hear his name alone, as if shot out of a pistol. Thank you!

Carsten played at our wedding and always radiated good humor and professionalism both during the preparation of the celebration and during it. He did a great job of combining the different music styles and creating a great party atmosphere.

First of all: Even if this experience report only consists of 5* ratings - it is not bought or the like. - Carsten is simply the most brilliant and sympathetic DJ we have ever had. It simply doesn't get any better than that!

We celebrated our wedding on 31.07. and Carsten was recommended to us by a friend who had met him before at a wedding and was mega enthusiastic. Originally we wanted to celebrate last year but well, Corona.... The rescheduling and rescheduling were totally uncomplicated and Carsten assured us that he wanted to accompany the bridal couples who he had already promised for last year and who could not celebrate because of the pandemic, in any case also this year. That was really reassuring.

The arrangements in advance and the personal consultation at the location were top notch and we noticed right away that we were on the same wavelength. Carsten was totally open to all of our (music) wishes and refined our ideas with a few hints and tips. He was super professional and yet it was a very relaxed conversation.
In addition, he has illuminated the location with light spots (or how the things are called). Since these spots can shine in different colors, he could also adjust the "lighting mood" accordingly, which really suited the respective section (food, opening dance, party, campfire...).

However, Carsten undoubtedly succeeded in creating the masterpiece during the DJing. Since my wife and I and also our circles of friends come from musically very different directions (from Helene Fischer *gag* to Backstreet Boys, Seeed and Little Big to Flogging Molly and Alestorm; and almost everything in between) we were already worried that everyone would somehow get their money's worth and still get into the mood. And what can we say: Carsten just rocked it! The dance floor wasn't empty for a minute and at the end everyone was just flat because there was so much partying. Carsten has designed the transitions between the different genres so ingeniously that you sometimes wondered how you now came from standard dance to pogo without noticing it...

It was just a great day and a really cool celebration, in which Carsten had a huge share!

Carsten is passionate about what he does and created a super atmosphere at our wedding! We would recommend him 100% at any time. He played the perfect songs for us and had a lot of fun himself. Not only we, but also our guests were thrilled.

A super DJ who really knows the alternative music scene really well. We were very satisfied and had a great wedding celebration, where not only we and our metal friends got their money's worth, but also the Schlager and Kölsch-heavy relatives could say at the end: "That was a really cool party".

The mix of music, the ambience through the well placed floor spotlights was just perfect.

Right from the start, Carsten was a bull's eye. Already during the first conversation on the phone, Carsten was immediately sympathetic to us. We had a similar taste in music, which quickly broke the ice. Even if this is not difficult with Carsten's friendly, courteous, friendly and uncomplicated manner.
For a first personal conversation we met right away at the location and Carsten took care of the communication with the location himself and took some work off our shoulders. Carsten took a lot of time at the meeting to get to know us and to elicit a few initial music wishes and addressed a few things that we would not have thought about without him.
Also otherwise the pre-planning was just super easy and uncomplicated and Carsten has shown himself again and again as a professional and give us with his experience tips that came later super.

On 10.10.2020 it was then so far and Carsten has accompanied us with perfectly adapted to us music throughout the evening. And even when something went wrong (on our part), he reacted confidently.
The songs were all perfect for us and we couldn't have picked a song we didn't like. And even though the dance floor was mostly empty, the atmosphere was great and most people sang along loudly with the lyrics.

We could not have wished for anyone better and can only recommend Carsten.

PS: It was a medieval wedding and Carsten even came in matching garb! :)

On 12.09.2020 Carsten has accompanied the wedding of my wife and me first during the wedding ceremony and the meal musically and afterwards at our party for mood. It all worked out great! At the party, many different music preferences had to be served. Until the end of the party, however, the dance floor was continuously full. Also my best man, who did a lot of the coordination on the day with him says that everything went smoothly.
Finally, it should be said that Carsten is likeable, uncomplicated and reliable. From there: clear recommendation!

What can I say? He has made our wedding an absolutely awesome day. All arrangements have worked great and he always knew exactly when he had to play where which song. I especially remember his relaxed, friendly manner and his talent when he played different styles of music in the evening. There you could notice the full professional. No hard cuts but from song to song in new realms.

Carsten is a great guy, super nice and highly professional. It has managed as a DJ that the dance floor at our wedding from 21 clock (start of the wedding dance) to 3:45 clock (end of the wedding) has not been empty once. He responded to all the wishes of the guests, be it Schlager, German rock or metal. He managed to make my uncle dance Rock 'N Roll at 76 and my son pogo for the first time at 12. Whether I/we would recommend him to others: yes 100%. Carsten was in the difficult preparation time (CV19 conditioned) one of the few constant with our planning. He was always there for us with help and advice and also had his own ideas, which he brought in without being pushy. All in all, a super successful evening. Carsten has actively helped to make our wedding a wonderful and unforgettable event. In communication he was always very fast, friendly and open, gave us many great tips on the process and always gave us a hand. He did a walk-through with us in advance at the party location and developed a beautiful lighting concept for us. He was also always available for our family and witnesses and supported them with planned activities (including a karaoke number).
Carsten not only convinced us as a person, but especially musically. He gave us many tips in advance on how to musically underlay certain program points (food, bridal bouquet, etc.) without ever slipping into the mainstream - exactly the way we wanted it. Our family, who are usually Schlager fans, he was able to perfectly pick up and convince with classic rock, our friends he had from the beginning on his side and rewarded them in the later course of the evening with 'harder' music. From classic rock to Irish folk, from 90s trash to heavy metal, he made a music combination that was always entertaining, always danceable, always audience-oriented and never boring or pushy!
We can only recommend him and are incredibly happy that he was there for us!
