I got in contact with three different agencies, but Fred from DLS was the one I trusted most from the beginning onwards. I am happy I met him, as Dubai is a shark tank with questionable and shady service providers promising you impossible timelines and crazy fees while posing with fancy cars in their WhatsApp status. But Fred is different, since the first contact, I felt in very good hands as he explained me all the details and costs transparently, I needed to know in a half an hour phone call. He will be honest with you in terms of practicability and time frame of your requests.In the end, everything worked out exactly the way he predicted it to be without any hidden or additional costs, so you can rely on him.

The service starts roughly 4 weeks before your first arrival in Dubai, so they can set up already nearly everything, which shortens the time of physical presence in Dubai a great deal. His service also includes the pick-up from your hotel to the several administrational appointments like health screening check, taking fingerprints, signing documents and so on. He and his team are super organized (Yes, he is German) and he responses to messages nearly immediately.

Within 24h after my first arrival in Dubai I had my resident visa stamped into my passport and in my hands. Only 4 days later the Emirates ID arrived with which we could then start the opening of the bank accounts which was opened the following week. If you stay in Dubai for the whole process, it might take between 2-3 weeks to have everything settled. Otherwise, like I did, it’s also possible to have 3-4 short stays of 2-3 days each for setting up the visa / EID, picking up the private banking card, signing of the business bank account and pick-up of the business bank account card. Also bear in mind that Fred managed the whole process during Covid times, and he will deliver what he is promising no matter what.

Now, after more than half a year later he is still helping me with information / contacts of his big network. He wouldn’t need to do, but Fred puts his customers first and he takes care of them not only in the short term but making sure he has a long-lasting, trustful relationship and that is something I was looking for. That’s why I am writing this detailed review, so others can also benefit from his service.

I was in touch with Fred from DLS Dubai for a while, and was planning to go ahead with his service, because he seemed to be very knowledgeable and his service included a lot of stuff that would help people who are new to Dubai and don't know the scenario on the ground. However, we ended up coming to Dubai as tourists and decided to go at this ourselves because we thought how hard can this be?

Boy were we wrong. Now the part with the company registration itself went super smooth because this is UAE and we found out that all government services here are very fast and efficient. However, the issues started when we wanted to apply for bank accounts, both personal and corporate.

For the personal side, we found out too late that the visa category that we were in was very hard to open personal accounts at most banks. However, we were able to open at 2 banks without too much difficulty, although our transaction limits were lower than usual and we weren't given credit cards.

For the corporate side, we figured out too late again, that the company type and the free zone we chose was difficult to get banking and we have spent quite a while and have been rejected by all major banks. We did get some smaller banks after a lot of effort but our situation ended up being far from ideal.

Overall we ended up spending way too long on this and ended up with a sub optimal soultion. The people who went with Fred ended up getting things right the first time and got high quality banking without wasting their time that they could have used on other things. Overall the loss of productivity and uncertainty alone ended up costing us many times what Fred's service would have costed.

We did get in touch with Fred recently, and although because our setup wasn't ideal, he was unable to help us get back on track with the current setup, he was really helpful with his tips that helped us salvage the situation a bit to get things into a somewhat working condition.

Overall I would recommend Fred's service to anyone who comes to Dubai because Banking here is full of gotchas and traps and you need an expert service provider to handle the constantly changing landscape.

After dealing with Dls Dubai for the past few months I thought it was a good way of giving back writing a review of their service.

I had been looking at setting up an overseas business account for quite a while before finding DLS. One thing that became blatantly obvious is that things are constantly changing and I often spent a lot of time going down one route only to find it was a dead end or information was outdated and could have cost me a lot of money or worse. After numerous frustrating attempts on my own I decided to use a professional and chose to go with Fred.

Being a highly skeptical person I entered our dealings with a lot of care, looking for the gotcha or the scam along the way which didn't materialize. Once we began to know each other I gradually became more comfortable with Fred, he has a real in-depth knowledge of how things work in Dubai and believe me they are complicated. If you're thinking of doing this yourself stop right now and reconsider, there are so many pitfalls and curve balls that you will be pulling your hair out with frustration and likely lose a lot of money, far more than the cost of his service. It's like navigating a minefield without a metal detector or climbing Everest without a Sherpa, seriously don't do it.

Even with Fred's depth of local knowledge and contacts things were still frustrating at times, setting up a business and opening a business bank account in Dubai is like hitting a moving target, add in the Covid travel restrictions and you are in for many hurdles along the way. From the time we started to the time I flew out to Dubai things had already changed and we had to rethink things as we went along. I can honestly say without Fred's help I would have gotten nowhere with this.

Never did I ever imagine that one day I would end up living in Dubai, let along starting a business here. However fate would have it otherwise!

It went like this; I reached out to Fred and he called me within 15 minutes, where other providers took days to contact me, he was available right away. We spoke for 40 minutes, I already knew what my goals were and I was dead set on getting a set up and getting it fast, Fred said he could do it, so I took the shot. That same day, I went out and got passport photos and passport scans, sent them over and wired over the set up fee.

I have to admit, after that I was a bit nervous, but after a few days the funds arrived and Fred told me the company formation process was underway, still I didn't know what to expect. I visited a government site and checked it every day to see if my company was formed, and after a few days, the company name showed up in the online registry, I was super excited and told Fred.

After that, I felt I wanted to go to Dubai right away and get my feet on the ground and explore the city I was soon going to be owning a business in but had never visited or known much about. When I got there, I fell in love with the place.

The process was fast, really fast, everything seemed to be moving at breakneck speed; we got the establishment card, employment contracts, I went out and bought a stamp, then when the visa came through, Fred's driver picked me up and we went and got everything done on the same day; super smooth. The driver was absolutely awesome and really personable, happy to share things and useful advice around the city.

I picked up my business documents from the Free Zone directly with the driver, and signed them and stamped them there and then. Then got back to the hotel, everything practically completed. A few days later the Emirates ID showed up and my personal bank card.

Then I flew out, feeling really gutted to be leaving the place, because I loved the speed, pace and rush of the city; all I could think about was getting back there.

When I got back home I said to my wife that we're going to live there, and in a matter of three weeks we took our kids out of school, sold our vehicle and packed everything up and got to Dubai. On the first week there (yesterday as of writing this) the business banking got approved and we finally got settled.

It really was an awesome experience, DLS didn't just set up another company; they literally changed my life and my families, this is one of those moments where your path changes and you'll never forget it.

To top it all off, I actually got invited by Fred to head over to the office today, which I did, I hopped on the metro to the Marina and took the elevator to the top floor where he made me a coffee and we chatted about the whole experience, he shared a ton of cool stories. Super appreciative of this guy, seriously, give him a shot, he is well worth it.

It has been a wonderful experience working with DLS to get my company and business bank account set up. Surprisingly smooth experience for both the company and Emirates ID (only had to stay for 10 days in Dubai for the process). Business Bank had minor issues due to my case being unique but Fred resolved them fast and made sure I received it.

Overall I don't think I would've been able to complete the process without their help and highly recommend them..

Being a passport holder of a tiny African country it can be really a challenge to open a personal bank account let alone a business bank account in a world class jurisdictions like the UAE. That scenario played out when DLS Group was working to open a business bank account for my company in one of Dubai’s top commercial banks, the application process was tedious with what suggested that my passport made me a high risk client. At some point I was willing to give up on getting the account opened.
