Kalahari - Afrika Spezial Safaris

We and our 3 kids would book a trip again at any time. It was our first time in Africa and everything was perfect from the first contact to the last day of the trip. Thank you very much

In mid-2023 we, a family with two children aged 12 and 18, decided to spend a vacation in Africa in 2024 with a focus on game viewing. Through friends we became aware of "Kalahari - Afrika Spezial Safaris" and contacted Kai and Karin Stoß. As we did not yet have any concrete ideas about the planned route or even the countries, we were very excited about the offer from "Kalahari - Afrika Spezial Safaris". They suggested a self-drive tour from Namibia via the Caprivi Strip to the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, which immediately convinced us. We only had minor requests for changes, such as a longer stay at a particular location, which were gladly taken into account. The tour was self-drive, with overnight stays in tents and lodges.

It was undoubtedly one of our best vacations and delighted all members of the family. The accommodation, the choice of route, simply everything was to our complete satisfaction. The change between tent and lodge accommodation was also very nice.

The planning and organization of the three weeks was wonderful. We were able to contact Kai and Karin Stoß at any time and our questions were always answered immediately.

This was definitely not our last vacation in Africa and "Kalahari - Afrika Spezial Safaris" will continue to be our first point of contact in the future.

professional advice, very tailored to our wishes & preferences, many valuable tips / recommendations on routes, location and activities....always there when we had questions and when Lufthansa canceled our feeder flight 4 hrs. before departure, a rebooking was organized and a parking space in the parking garage at the new departure airport was reserved & all data was sent via WhatsApp without any complications - great, in Namibia we had a lovely card-fruit basket greeting completely unexpectedly, which made our hearts happy, all lodges were beautiful AND designed for sustainability and support of local actors...a perfect organization that made us enjoy our first self-drive trip from the very first moment. Our trip to Namibia was simply fantastic, and not a day goes by without us thinking back or talking about the wonderful time we had. The carefully planned routes and itineraries were ideal for enjoying the impressive landscapes, fascinating encounters and breathtaking wildlife to the full. The perfect blend of adventure, luxury and relaxation made this vacation an unforgettable experience. The balance between exciting discoveries and moments of tranquillity was just perfect. We could not be more satisfied and recommend this trip to anyone who wants to experience Namibia in all its beauty. We would especially like to thank Karin Stoß, she took all our wishes into account and every adjustment was implemented without any problems. Karin always had an open ear for us, which gave us a feeling of safety and security - we knew we were in the best hands. If we go to Africa again, it will definitely be with Kalahari Africa!

We had wonderful days under the African sun and unforgettable experiences.

All we had to do at the travel agency was enter the key details of the trip and the Stoss family put together a wonderful, varied trip tailored to our wishes. You get all the travel documents, routes, accommodation and lots of useful information on an app, so you always have everything at a glance.
The travel agency was also always available for us during the trip. Everything went very smoothly over the three weeks, from the flight and accommodation to the rental car. The Stoss family is extremely competent and very friendly.

It was an incredibly exciting and wonderful vacation for us. Never before have we gathered such a variety of impressions, experiences and knowledge in one vacation. The extensive personal experiences of the owners were shared extensively and made a multitude of experiences possible that would otherwise have remained closed to us.

Ms. Stoß is totally pleasant to communicate with. She found the perfect accommodation and the suggested car rental outshone everything else we had. There was a preparatory video explaining the whole car and the equipment. There was also an hour-long on-site briefing and a demonstration of the individual systems. What's more, it was the first car rental company that didn't want to sell extra insurance. The trip was simply fantastic and Ms. Stoß was the perfect support at our side.

We were very satisfied with the trip to Namibia that Kalahari-Reisen booked for us. Every day was unique and varied. The accommodation, the planned activities and the car were all a good fit. The accommodation in particular exceeded our expectations. We can only recommend Kalahari Safaris.

It was our second trip with this travel agency and, as in 2018, everything was well organized.

We were in Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe for 4 weeks in April/May 24. Everything - itinerary, car booking, excursions - was organized according to our wishes. The lodges we booked were almost all of a very high standard with great service, reflecting the many years of experience of the Stoß couple on site, with the exception of Mushara Bushcamp. The location of Ugab Terrace Lodge was very interesting.
The border transfers went very smoothly thanks to the good preparation.
The tour operator is highly recommended for individual trips.

We traveled as a couple according to the recommendations of the Kalahari travel agency and were very satisfied with the choice of route and lodges. An overwhelming vacation, the all-round package was perfect. It was definitely not our last vacation in Africa!

Every single day was interesting, exciting, adventurous, fun, relaxing,
everything was just right.
The welcome by our guide, the first days at the Maasai Lodge, the drive towards the Serengeti, then the esirai tented camp... incredible animal experiences.

We received a very friendly and courteous welcome everywhere, the service was excellent, the locations were close to nature and yet comfortable.

The second part of the trip on Zanzibar was also wonderful, the Magic Villa was a temporary home, right on the white palm beach.
There are so many intense impressions from this trip, it was just right for our family.

You made our dream of Tanzania a reality, and we would like to thank you for that.

Thanks to Kalahari Dresden, we were able to experience such a great trip for the second time, which will continue to have an effect for a long time to come thanks to the diverse and wonderful impressions.

Last year we had already booked a self-drive tour through Namibia with the Stoß family.
Everything was perfect! Our trip was perfectly organized and we had a wonderful vacation. And we already knew on the plane home that we would be back. Yes, and in February the time had finally come. But this time there were five of us. We infected our son, daughter-in-law and grandson (10 years old) with our enthusiasm for this unique country. Karin and Kai Stoß once again put together a fantastic route for us. If we had any questions, they were always available and solved our little problems immediately.
