I rented my furnished apartment to a close, trusted business partner/company that I have known for years, based on a recommendation from Kensington Finest Properties International Berlin-Südwest. During viewings by the estate agent with various interested parties, it happened that they forgot to lock the door. (Current crime statistics: Berlin had the most residential burglaries in Germany in 2023!) Lights were forgotten to be switched off, so that it was sometimes on day and night for over a week until another viewing took place or my mother came by for flower care/airing. (Not only unnecessary costs, but also an acute fire hazard due to the lamps overheating). Since the 4th month of renting to the highly recommended long-term business partner, no rent has been paid (the first 3 gross rents went almost entirely to Kensington as commission). Things have been stolen from the apartment, furniture/dishes broken, sockets ripped out of the wall, etc.. The apartment is being sublet to several different people without permission. Eviction proceedings are underway... Unfortunately, the bad image of estate agents has been confirmed for me. From an estate agent's point of view, I would probably have recommended the company as a tenant, as you have a good customer to whom you can permanently rent new properties due to eviction suits. However, such business practices are not in the interests of the owners! For me, never again Kensington Finest Properties International Berlin-Südwest!!! My complaint to the branch manager was also met with a shrug of the shoulders - commission received, issue settled! 👎
I wonder if the review will even go online.

Thank you very much for your feedback.
We know that we are not always able to meet every single requirement with our service.
However, you have mentioned some points that do not correspond to the truth and other points that have nothing to do with the brokerage of a real estate rental. For example, we cannot confirm that our estate agent did not lock the apartment properly after viewings or left the lights on. Our CEO, Sven Rhein, also confirmed this to you.
The apartment was let to a contact from the estate agent's personal network. There can be no question of her being a long-standing business partner of our company. We firmly reject your assumptions of a dubious business model in this regard.
Also, as a landlord, you always make the final decision as to whom you ultimately conclude a tenancy agreement with. We are not responsible for the fact that a tenant fails to meet obligations arising from the rental agreement concluded during the course of the rental period. As far as subletting is concerned, this is also a contractual matter between you as landlord and tenant. In this respect, your review does not really refer to our service, which we find very unfortunate.
We are very sorry that you are having such difficulties with your tenant and are keeping our fingers crossed that things turn out well.
Your team from KENSINGTON Immobilien Berlin-Südwest
