I had the opportunity to work in JobCoaching with Ms. Nicola Pilz a year ago.
I had already prepared my resume in German after the C1 course in German with several German friends as well as counseling centers, but I still did not find a job. Then Ms. Pilz was recommended to me because she has already supported many international professionals in starting their careers in Germany. The coaching was a one-on-one coaching with very individual and intensive support, which took place smoothly in person and online. After a very thorough analysis of my practical and professional past, Ms. Pilz helped me to put my skills, achievements and areas of work into German words, structure them and present them clearly. Then we used this to create a new resume so that German employers would really value my work experience from home. My resume turned out wonderfully, so professional that I would have hired myself right away! We then worked together to find German fields of work and professions where I could transfer my experience. In the process, I learned a lot about the German job market, the mindset of German companies, and German work culture. Together we wrote job applications and Ms. Pilz helped me every step of the way. Between our coaching sessions, I could always ask questions via email and always felt confident for the next steps in the application process. Success came pretty quickly: companies contacted me back. Ms. Pilz prepared me for the interviews and even though I was very nervous, I presented myself well. My interviews were then so successful that I was able to get to know two regional companies personally during internship days. I then decided on one employer and received an employment contract. Because I lacked some typical German skills in my profession, the employment agency gave me another three months of qualification. I was never alone, but always got answers to urgent questions at short notice in conversation, by e-mail or phone call. Ms. Pilz helped me a lot to understand what German companies need from me as an applicant and employee and how I can "sell" myself in the best possible way. My confidence that I can really make it in Germany has grown more and more in the course of the coaching. In the meantime, I have already been working in my profession for a year and I am very happy. The coaching has allowed me to arrive professionally and personally in Germany and I am still benefiting from it. Thank you very much for everything!
