The transfer times at Milan station are very tight; in particular, there are often delays on the return journey, meaning that the connecting train is missed. In this case, it was also annoying that the SBB train contained two train compositions and that the front train composition in the Milan terminus station was closed, which further increased the transfer times.

The hotels were great. The only thing is that you should not book a room facing the street at the Hotel Krebs. Noise!

The customer service is extremely friendly.
We had problems with the hotel but these could be solved via the customer service after calling twice. However, no apology or anything similar came from the hotel. We realized that we were not welcome at the hotel. We then booked another hotel at our own expense. We were very happy with it.

Everything worked out. It's always "very exciting" with Deutsche Bahn - you never know what's going to happen. But if you're traveling, you have to be flexible.
Travel from Aarau to Bologna.
Changeover time in Olten 5 minutes. Due to a delay, it turned into 2 minutes. That was a huge rush.
Please change. Arrival in Milan 30 minutes late. We then simply took the next train. Without a seat reservation. The hotel in Bologna was very central. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The return journey went according to plan. We will gladly take a city trip by train again.
