By chance, I came across Mr. Schäflein on Google, who has his office diagonally opposite Cafe Michel in Würzburg's old town. Since the initial consultation is free of charge, I just went by.
Admittedly: as a newly qualified doctor in my mid/late 20s, I had, with the exception of a few info events and a "consultation" (all with MLP), so far only dealt a little with the topics of insurance, retirement provision, investment, etc.. These events always left me with the impression of having been at a sales meeting rather than a consultation.
The contrast with Mr. Schäflein was all the greater. All questions were answered in detail, honestly and competently. If he does not immediately have a detailed information in mind, this is openly communicated and this is delivered in the course of the next few days. Since he is not allowed to take commissions as a fee-based consultant, you really have the feeling that you are "playing on the same team".
150 Euro/hour seems to be a lot of money at first sight. Since with a normal life insurance apparently really 8000Euro and more are usual at commission for the mediator, one can calculate, how long one could be advised for this. Mr. Schäflein refers one then to qualitatively at least equivalent, commission-free products. In the end, this is always "cheaper".
I am very satisfied and can recommend Mr. Schäflein without reservation!
