The COVID-19 pandemic is a challenge for society as a whole, which has also made us aware of the special importance of health protection at work. This does not only apply to operational protection against infection in the narrower sense. The pandemic also highlights operational developments that have been under discussion here for a long time under the heading "change in the world of work": These include the digitization and flexibilization of work (mobile working, home office), the emergence of new forms of work and working time models and the associated organizational and regulatory requirements.

With OiRA we succeed in guaranteeing the health protection of our employees, as well as promoting and restoring it wherever possible. We examine the stresses and effects of our working environment on our employees and gain well-founded knowledge for targeted implementation strategies in the area of safety and health in a manufacturing company.

Since 2005, we have had several web-based database systems with built-in workflows implemented by SYSLAB and have had consistently positive experiences. Since SYSLAB was able to implement our projects to a large extent using open source components, the costs remained within a manageable framework and the realized systems had a relatively short start-up phase. In critical phases of our projects, SYSLAB always showed us the possible options for further development and all the associated advantages and disadvantages, so that we could make safe decisions. SYSLAB.com GmbH has become an indispensable partner for us in the area of databases and web development over the past 12 years.

Syslab provide maintenance, support and development on one of our legacy web products. We had worked with out previous agency for over 5 years and moving to a new agency was a worrying time. However, I can honestly say it was the best move we could have made. Syslab are so efficient, professional, expert and easy to work with (even remotely with our organization being based in the UK). They are thorough, quick to respond and very reliable. I've really appreciated their insight in how to improve the performance and usability of our system. I've given them 5 stars in all areas, because I am honestly very happy with the quality of their work and the speed in which they turnaround requests. They are competitively priced (which is again a huge plus). My only regret is that our new web products are not Plone-based so at some point they'll no longer be able to support us. I have no hesitation in recommending them - in fact I already have recommended them to organizations I work with many times over.

I have worked with Syslab.com for 5 years as communication officer in charge of digital projects for the European Agency for Safety and Health at work in Bilbao, Spain. I greatly appreciated their willingness to design and implement services that made sense for our workforce and customers and were cost-effective for us. I valued the fact that we could use their critical perspective to avoid embarking in grandiose but useless projects and that they were ready to adapt to changing conditions and to redesign services as needed.
