We had a trip to Botswana that will stay with us for a long time.
But more importantly, Ms. Stoß was available to one of our fellow travelers (over the weekend) after an accident and made sure everything ran smoothly. That made it easier for the rest of us to continue our journey.
All the transfers we had during the trip went off without a hitch. They were on time, which isn’t always the case in Germany.
I would book or have a trip planned with Kalahari again in a heartbeat.

Special praise goes to our guide from Matembezi Safaris. He was far more than just a driver—rather, a passionate guide with incredible knowledge of animals, nature, and their interconnections. With great enthusiasm, he explained everything to us, introduced us to every animal, and allowed us to experience the safari in a very special way. You can tell right away: this is someone who loves his job.

The people of Tanzania also left a deep impression on us. The warmth, friendliness, and openness with which we were welcomed everywhere are truly special. We are very grateful that we were able to experience this country as guests.

I have traveled extensively, but this trip is definitely one of the most beautiful and memorable experiences I’ve ever had.

My daughter and I were in Uganda – we wanted to enjoy amazing safari experiences and see the mountain gorillas on this trip. Ms. Stoß put together a tailor-made trip for us. We spent almost two weeks traveling with our own guide, Ezra. The accommodations were all particularly beautiful, wonderful lodges with very friendly staff. We were well looked after and Ezra took great care of us. The trip was a complete success. We got to know a beautiful country, had great safaris, and were able to observe a mountain gorilla family (our most beautiful animal experience). We can recommend Uganda as a travel destination and even more so Ms. Stoß, who fulfilled all our travel wishes and prepared everything very professionally.

I had a truly wonderful safari in Tanzania, including snorkeling with whale sharks on Mafia Island. I would particularly like to highlight the support provided by Ms. Stoß, because one week before our return flight, Iran was attacked and Dubai Airport was closed. Ms. Stoß immediately arranged an alternative flight. Everything went smoothly. A real difference compared to other tour operators.

I had a perfectly balanced trip with stays at various locations in Botswana. This allowed me to discover the diversity of the impressive flora and fauna in the Kalahari Desert and Chobe Delta, as well as getting a taste of nature. I don't think this would have been possible if I had planned it myself. So, thank you very much for putting together and seamlessly organizing the trip, which allowed me to fully immerse myself in the experience on site. The team in Germany and on site are highly recommended.

Our travel wishes were taken into account with great sensitivity. Karin selected and organized everything perfectly for us. We had such wonderfully relaxing days in the Seychelles with many beautiful experiences and encounters on Mahe, Praslin, and La Digue.

We came to the travel agency with a time frame and a financial budget as well as our personal ideas for our trip to Dresden. Our expectations were exceeded many times over. Karin and Kai planned our five-week trip through South Africa in such a great and unforgettable way that we could not have planned it ourselves. It was a varied, well-planned trip with lots of great experiences and very good preparation.

After South Africa in 2023, it was our second trip organized by Kai and Karin in 2025. Our 3-week self-drive trip in October was once again superbly organized. We traveled via Sesriem, the Naukluf NP, the Erongo Mountains, the Etosha NP through the Caprivi Strip, a short detour through Botswana to the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. Kalahari tailors the suggested route to your wishes. For us it was the landscape, animals and people, especially the local ethnic groups. We had plenty of everything. It's great to be able to rely on the vast experience of Kai and Karin. Kai went through the trip with us thoroughly before we left. As a result, we were prepared for many challenges. You also always get support during the trip, for example, we received information on whether the fires in Etosha would affect our trip. The choice of lodges was fantastic. We can't even decide what our favorite lodge was. The tours with Bushtracks were also all great. All in all, it could hardly have been better. Another dream trip!

Great insight into the most diverse landscapes in only 16 days of travel time with super accommodations - always beautiful in a different way!

Namibia-Botswana-Zimbabwe November 2025
We had a wonderful trip in Africa. We started in Windhoek and then headed north to Etosha National Park. From there we traveled along the Caprivi Strip towards Botswana. We had fantastic lodges and drove all the way to the Botswana border. An unforgettable experience, away from the main roads. The safaris in the parks were well guided with lots of beautiful animal experiences and great guides. We dropped off our car at the border with Botswana, which also went very smoothly. In Botswana we then had a private transfer to the lodge. This lodge was absolutely amazing and offered everything you could imagine. Great safaris, super food and very obliging hosts, we always felt welcome there, just like in Namibia. From Botswana, we then took a private transfer to Zimbabwe to the Victoria Falls, which are a must-see. Here, too, we always felt safe and welcome.
Our trip was simply perfect, which was mainly due to the excellent advice and choice of lodges provided by Ms. Stoß in advance. In addition, Ms. Stoß was always available for us during our trip, which gave us an additional sense of security, even though we never felt unsafe at any time. The mix of self-drive and private transfer was pleasant for us and we would do it again. We made a short detour to Spitzkoppe at the beginning, and we really enjoyed it there too.
What we found most impressive were the moments when we encountered all the animals, on safari or when we were on our own. It can't be described in words. Our trip was perfect and we can highly recommend the travel agency and especially Ms. Stoß. Thank you very much for making our trip such an unforgettable experience.

Mrs. Stoß organized our 10-day trip through the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania very well and we were lucky to experience an all-round successful and eventful vacation! Already in the long-term preparation we were introduced to the interesting country through personal and telephone conversations, sight-seeing material (and gifts we were allowed to keep), she told us about this country with great enthusiasm and explained everything we wanted to know and also gave us many good tips and suggestions 👍👋🏻👋🏻 So we were able to help shape our vacation. Our trip to Tanzania this year was already the 7th trip that "Kalahari - Afrika Spezial Safaris" has planned for us. This time, too, our individual wishes were taken into account and, based on previous discussions and feedback on previous trips, Ms. Stoß is very good at assessing what we like and what suits us. The mixture of culture, nature observations and days to relax at the end of the trip as well as the careful selection of lodges, guides, activities etc. was once again very much to our liking. You can already tell during the consultation, but especially during the trip, that all the recommendations are based on personal experience in the country itself. The enthusiasm for the African continent and the local people is also palpable in the consultations and is conveyed. Even during the trip, the staff at Kalahari - Africa Special Safaris are always available to answer any questions or problems that arise and are always on hand to offer help and advice.
