Kalahari - Afrika Spezial Safaris

We are very satisfied with both the trip planning and the customer service. They took the time to address all of our many questions and plan a trip that met our expectations. Thanks to the professional support, we felt secure throughout the entire trip and could rely on the booked accommodations meeting our expectations.
Communication went smoothly, and we could reach out at any time to ask questions or clarify any uncertainties.
We especially appreciated receiving honest feedback when our ideas couldn’t be easily implemented—that saved us a lot of stress.

Overall, we’re very satisfied, and if we ever plan another trip to Africa, we’ll definitely reach out to you again.

Lots of tips, patient answers to all questions, and very easy to reach even while traveling!

Once again, we really appreciated the personalized advice and itinerary planning before the trip. The trip was wonderful and exactly as we had imagined it. We were in Zimbabwe and, after visiting Victoria Falls, took a tour through Hwange National Park. In addition to the impressive safaris and wonderful lodges, visiting a school and a clinic was a great experience. We really appreciated that, thanks to the partnership with the local tour operator Imvelo, a large portion of the funds goes toward local infrastructure. Simply a fantastic trip—we’d love to do it again!

We’ve now taken three self-drive trips with Kalahari Afrika Spezial Safaris to Southern Africa (mainly Namibia), and we’ve been thrilled every single time.
From the careful planning and flawless execution and organization to the invaluable suggestions and insider tips—thanks to Karin and Kai Stoß, we were able to experience unforgettable and memorable days in these beautiful countries. We will likely cherish these wonderful and diverse experiences forever. They have enriched us and broadened our horizons.
And so we can only recommend that anyone wishing to take a customized trip to Africa contact Kalahari Africa Special Safaris. With Kai and Karin Stoß, you’re in exactly the right hands.

We are very grateful to the Stoß family for helping us plan, coordinate, and carry out our trip, which gave us such a wonderful start to our exploration of Namibia.

Highly recommended—an all-around wonderful vacation!

We had a wonderful trip through Namibia with our children. The itinerary was very well planned, tailored to our needs, and offered a great mix of breathtaking scenery, wildlife viewing, and relaxation. There was a fantastic selection of accommodations, each with its own charm and character. We saw so much and were able to enjoy the trip to the fullest.
This certainly won’t be the last time we book with Kalahari – Africa Special Safaris.

Perfect for customized, personalized trips.

Our two-and-a-half-week trip to Oman was superbly organized and an unforgettable experience. Everything went perfectly, from our initial consultation right through to our return. The selection of hotels, the varied excursions, and the overall trip planning were excellent. We were able to relax and enjoy the country and gathered many memorable impressions. We especially appreciate Karin’s professional guidance, friendliness, and flawless organization. Thank you so much for this wonderful trip—we would love to book with you again!

Very friendly and knowledgeable service.
Any issues that arose during the trip were addressed and resolved. For example, after a storm, one lodge was no longer habitable. The Stoß family immediately arranged for a suitable alternative. A domestic flight was canceled due to a strike. The Stoß family organized our return transportation.
The booked lodges are all highly recommended, which speaks to Kalahari’s excellent knowledge of the region. We felt well taken care of and safe throughout. The itinerary was superbly planned and easy to follow. We would love to continue exploring Africa with Kalahari. We highly recommend Kalahari and wish them continued success.
Best regards, The Kunze Family

The entire trip was superbly planned and a wonderful experience for us. The accommodations were all excellent, and the meals at the lodges were great as well.

Tailored, personalized advice; handling of all planning and changes with immediate updates; successful travel planning and support; would definitely use them again

Our trip was perfectly organized; the lodges were well chosen, and the services fully met our expectations.
The travel agency was always readily available, and all our questions were answered promptly and in detail.

We had a trip to Botswana that will stay with us for a long time.
But more importantly, Ms. Stoß was available to one of our fellow travelers (over the weekend) after an accident and made sure everything ran smoothly. That made it easier for the rest of us to continue our journey.
All the transfers we had during the trip went off without a hitch. They were on time, which isn’t always the case in Germany.
I would book or have a trip planned with Kalahari again in a heartbeat.

Our trip to Tanzania was simply amazing—it couldn’t have been planned any better. A huge thank you to the entire team at Kalahari Africa Special Safaris and to Matembezi Safaris Tanzania for their exceptional organization and execution.

From the first day to the last, everything came together perfectly. The trip just kept getting better and better, culminating in a real wow factor at the end.

Our itinerary and the selected accommodations were simply superbly put together. We were particularly impressed by, among other things:
- the Africa Amini Life Original Maasai Lodge with its unique insight into the culture
- the beautifully situated Butiama Marine Camp
- the special atmosphere of the Lake Burunge Baobab Tented Lodge
- the intense safari experiences at the Ndutu Kati Kati Tented Camp and the Serengeti Ndutu Kati Kati Tented Camp (Nungunungu)
- the Ngorongoro Farm House with its dreamlike location

Special praise goes to our guide from Matembezi Safaris. He was far more than just a driver—rather, a passionate guide with incredible knowledge of animals, nature, and their interconnections. With great enthusiasm, he explained everything to us, introduced us to every animal, and allowed us to experience the safari in a very special way. You can tell right away: this is someone who loves his job.

The people of Tanzania also left a deep impression on us. The warmth, friendliness, and openness with which we were welcomed everywhere are truly special. We are very grateful that we were able to experience this country as guests.

I have traveled extensively, but this trip is definitely one of the most beautiful and memorable experiences I’ve ever had.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone involved—both the organizers in Germany and the team on the ground in Tanzania. We will definitely travel with you again and can wholeheartedly recommend this experience.

Thank you so much for this unforgettable trip!

My daughter and I were in Uganda – we wanted to enjoy amazing safari experiences and see the mountain gorillas on this trip. Ms. Stoß put together a tailor-made trip for us. We spent almost two weeks traveling with our own guide, Ezra. The accommodations were all particularly beautiful, wonderful lodges with very friendly staff. We were well looked after and Ezra took great care of us. The trip was a complete success. We got to know a beautiful country, had great safaris, and were able to observe a mountain gorilla family (our most beautiful animal experience). We can recommend Uganda as a travel destination and even more so Ms. Stoß, who fulfilled all our travel wishes and prepared everything very professionally.

I had a truly wonderful safari in Tanzania, including snorkeling with whale sharks on Mafia Island. I would particularly like to highlight the support provided by Ms. Stoß, because one week before our return flight, Iran was attacked and Dubai Airport was closed. Ms. Stoß immediately arranged an alternative flight. Everything went smoothly. A real difference compared to other tour operators.

I had a perfectly balanced trip with stays at various locations in Botswana. This allowed me to discover the diversity of the impressive flora and fauna in the Kalahari Desert and Chobe Delta, as well as getting a taste of nature. I don't think this would have been possible if I had planned it myself. So, thank you very much for putting together and seamlessly organizing the trip, which allowed me to fully immerse myself in the experience on site. The team in Germany and on site are highly recommended.

Our travel wishes were taken into account with great sensitivity. Karin selected and organized everything perfectly for us. We had such wonderfully relaxing days in the Seychelles with many beautiful experiences and encounters on Mahe, Praslin, and La Digue.
We are very grateful for this, not least because Karin helped us out of a tight spot afterwards by immediately sorting out a significant credit card error that occurred locally. All in all, it was a very good decision to entrust ourselves to our friends at Kalahari. Thank you, Monika & Thomas

Our ideas were implemented very well and finalized through personal consultation. This resulted in two uplifting weeks, with a fantastic safari in Tanzania and relaxing recreation in Zanzibar. A wonderful experience. Many thanks from the Humbold family.

We came to the travel agency with a time frame and a financial budget as well as our personal ideas for our trip to Dresden. Our expectations were exceeded many times over. Karin and Kai planned our five-week trip through South Africa in such a great and unforgettable way that we could not have planned it ourselves. From advice, bookings, organization, communication and all-round service to personal travel tips, everything was included. Thanks to the two of them, we were able to spend five fantastic weeks in South Africa! There is no question about where we will book our next trip to Africa! Thank you very much for your efforts and we are looking forward to the next trip!
