Linguajet

Some translations do not make sense. According to Birkenbihl it makes sense to translate two different words (word pair) (then the sentence, even if didactically wrong, at least makes sense). Example: We will understand each other for sure> Is translated with : We will understand each other for sure> No one understands! Yes, I know, according to Birkenbihl 1:1 translation. But even a well-known Birkenbihl teacher has sometimes gone away from the stubborn 1:1 for the better understanding. In the example it would have been better if it was translated 1:1 with word pairs. > each other >> with each other or mutually and for sure >> for sure or for certain . Then the sentence looks as follows in German>> We (Wir) will (werden) understand (verstehen) each other (miteinander/gegenseitiger) for sure (ganz bestimmt / sicherlich). And already one understands this sentence also in the sense, despite literal translation with word pairs. Thus, idioms are better grasped - that's my opinion.

You can learn a language well, for example, while driving a car and automatically get phrases and sentence positions.

I think it is a pity that there is no APP. Also, having to download beforehand to work offline prevents me from learning with Linguajet. There I tend to go back to free apps like Drops, which are faster at hand. I am a big fan of Vera F. Birkenbihl and her method, but it could be even easier in everyday life against the Schweinhund....

Unfortunately, when I play the voice slowly, it sounds unclear and unpleasant. I think you could still work on this. Otherwise, I find Linguajet very good for learning languages. The app could be a bit more modern/intuitive.

The texts are too long, if you look at the original Birkenbihl language courses, they are much shorter. The audio recordings for them only go on for about 2 minutes at a time. The long texts make language learning unnecessarily tiring. It would be better to have shorter texts that you can listen to more often. This would also make the progress faster noticeable and the motivation higher. The slow version of the language "leiert" so that one hardly recognizes the speech melody. It would be better to record the slow version slowly. The cursors are not synchronized with the spoken language, especially with a completely new language this is very bad. For the children's version in English there is no German text and the sound recording is very unclear. Also important would be the function to listen to several lessons in a row passive. So that one can hear an also "older" lessons still passive. I recently wrote my master thesis about the methods of Vera F. Birkenbihl and unfortunately had to realize that Linguajet does not implement the method of Vera F. Birkenbihl 100%. If these remarks can be implemented, I am of sure, language learning will be fun again and thus bring more.

Usage is too cumbersome on mobile (app or easy to use website would be much needed to get people to use it).

I am trying to learn Italian and have not had any experience. The texts are too long for beginners. I find it much easier to memorize shorter sentences and their meaning. Especially with long sentences that deviate strongly from the German grammar in the coded translation, it is difficult for me to memorize the sentences.

I learn with it playfully and have the feeling after a short time to be able to formulate some things myself. However, the app works rather modestly. So I always struggle after marking the text parts to listen to that the app is overwhelmed and I have to close the whole thing again to try again. This is annoying, because I lose a lot of time with it, which I would like to have disturbed in the language i.

Good way of learning. Learning rhythm regarding 10 min. duration is a good method. Good experience so far. Sometimes it does not work via the mobile app for on the go. Over the laptop problem-free application.
