Absolute recommendation. Where else can you find that, a multi-day sesshin retreat in the city that combines mediation and movement? In the wintry darkness we deepened in a small group from early morning until late evening in sitting, but also in walking meditation of the Zazen tradition. Supplemented by tea ceremony (Sarei) and 1:1 guidance (Taiwa) - all led by the experienced, empathic teachers (Sensei) Waltraud Peppel and Michael Neuber. The meditative impulses also alternated with movement offers, which Dani Donike, owner of the break room, interspersed in a tailor-made way. They support the unification of body, breath and mind on a different level. For me, it was my first encounter with zazen. I have to admit that I was a little skeptical beforehand, because of the well-known "strict" forms of zazen. But I was allowed to discover in the doing that the firm form facilitates quite wonderfully the softening and coming into the center. The aesthetics of the pause found perfect correspondence in the aesthetics of the outside - the simple, centering and comfortable break room, the common meals. Dear Dani, thank you for the innovative concept.
