We were first 2020 with Zugprofi in Zermatt and in St. Moritz and were then very excited about the trip. Everything has fit and also during the trip we were then well cared for when there were questions. So back then 5 stars.
Therefore, we booked another trip through Zugprofi from September 5-16, 2022. It was 4 nights in Davos - 2 in Zermatt - 2 in Wengen (our wish instead of Mürren) - 1 additional day in Grandhotel Giessbach at Lake Brienz (recommendation Zugprofi as a special highlight at a super expensive price) - and 2 nights Lucerne. While the stay in Davos was relatively long and relaxing, the rest of the trip was stress and hustle. You couldn't really take advantage of the scenery and the amenities of the hotels because after a maximum of 2 nights it was back to packing suitcases, heading to the train station, heaving luggage onto the train and off to the next hotel. That's not really relaxing for older people like us.
The night in the Grandhotel Giessbach at the Lake Brienz could have been spared, because you can also come there as a day tourist. But if you want to stay there, you should spend several nights there to take advantage of the included excursions and amenities of the hotel. A company specializing in such trips should know this and take it into consideration.
It would have been better to add the 2 nights in Lucerne to the stays in Zermatt and the Bernese Oberland. Since only a few mountain railroads could be used for free, especially in the Bernese Oberland, information in advance about which pass is worthwhile to get to the Jungfraujoch, for example, would have been important and helpful. All in all, would have been on this trip fewer stations clearly more in terms of recreation and enjoy the beautiful landscapes.
Unfortunately, the communication during and after the trip with Zugprofi was also underground. We received no response to critical comments / inquiries during the trip and also our critical comments on the travel concept after our return were initially not answered and then tersely dismissed with the indication that we should look for another tour operator. This is no way to deal with customers!
