I have nothing but good things to say about EGT-Wirth from Essen.
In April 2024 we had our photovoltaic system with 12 AxiBlackbiperfekt modules, RCT 10.0 inverter and RCT - 3.8Kw battery (rated as one of the best by the HTW Berlin) assembled, installed and connected in Germany (German warranty law) with EGT-Wirth.
The appointment with Rheinenergie is already in May 2024!
From the initial consultation to further contact and installation, everything went very smoothly. Both Mr. Wirth and the 4 installation employees were very friendly, willing to talk, helpful (even after the contract was signed) and did all the work perfectly. We visited the company site in Essen before signing the contract and Mr. Wirth explained everything to us.
Throughout the entire process, he took our wishes on board and translated them into professionally correct/sensible planning, taking many a "detour" along the way.
As we were unsure which components we should choose because of the many options, he presented various offers and explained the advantages and disadvantages in a very understandable way.
Wirth didn't submit the cheapest offer, but it was certainly the best value!
The whole process from the first consultation with Mr. Wirth to the technical completion took 2 months. Wirth also completed all the paperwork quickly!
The following is independent of EGT-Wirth: I had a total of 10 offers and initial discussions with 10 companies. I learned something new every time and what to look out for. Which components suit us and why, which don't, which would be too expensive for our conditions, etc.. As every consultant only provides limited information, I recommend this approach. It was useful to know what you could ask, then, with good advisors, the information and advantages/disadvantages were communicated.
Among other things, you can consider, google, ask:
- Location and orientation of the roof-so rather micro inverters or just one.
Full scaffolding/fall protection of the roof for the safety of the installers (client is jointly liable)
- If there is shading: Optimizer, micro inverter? (only from Enphase)
- TAB-compliant meter cabinet? - Emergency power, backup power, single-phase, three-phase
- System monitoring; number of charging cycles, soft-start function, lithium-ion vs. lithium phosphate battery, earthing of all! parts, stand-by consumption,
- Profitability, efficiency,
- Length of product and performance guarantee (all guarantees from the solar installer only apply as long as the company does not simply deregister from the trade office and continue under a new label)
- Full guarantee incl. replacement of the new value, all installation costs, travel to and from the site, overnight stay if necessary, disposal ..., BRD guarantee or China?, PID,
- Glass-glass modules or glass-foil, monocrystalline, degree of protection
- Ecological and social production conditions, who wants to work without social insurance? Work
- Register with the grid operator no later than 2 weeks after the contract!!! Check with the solar installer!
- Consider electricity wallet concepts, e.g. with Lichtblick, we decided against it, what happens after the 2-year contract commitment?
