I read Jutta's book ("Happy Birthing Days") when I was in the last month of my first pregnancy. I also took part in the birth preparation course offered by another midwife in my home town and afterwards I felt kind of prepared for giving birth, knowing more or less what I shall do when certain things happen. But I still often felt the nervousness and uncertainty about giving birth. And then I read THE BOOK, which turned out to be somehow a missing factor as it totally changed my perspective about everything, it made me feel really relaxed, happy and even excited about what was awaiting me soon! At the end my birth went totally the opposite way to what I was prepared for - you might say everything went just wrong... And at that moment I thought "Just stay calm and BREATH like Jutta taught you, because this is how you can connect with your baby and control the situation now". And I swear that I heard from a midwife in the hospital that they didn't have such a nice breathing woman in labor for a long time ;) and not long time after I gave birth to a healthy, beautiful baby boy and was the happiest woman on earth!
Now I am in my second pregnancy and I happily discovered that Jutta was offering the LIVE ONLINE Birth Preparation Courses! I took part in English course and it felt so good with all the "multi-culti" participants, and Jutta with her amazing positive attitude and international and multicultural experience giving you this comfort feeling of being welcome, understood, taken care of and even excited about you and your background, no matter of what your origin, culture, religion, language, age, skin color is! :) Jutta is not only very professional and dedicated to her work but also such a positive, motivating and good vibes-spreading personality :) The course turned out to be a perfect complementation to the book which I read now again ;) The book made me feel again informed about all one needs to know about giving birth and filled my mind with a lot of positiviness, whereas the live course including practical exercises and relaxation techniques (oooo the little hypnobirthing session which we got as a part of a course was absolutely priceless!!! Although for a long time I believed that hypnosis is not something for me!) gave me a feeling of more control over my body and erased some fears from my head for good. Since then I really feel better, sleep better and I am ready for my joyful second birth! :)
