We were very satisfied with ABACUS tutoring. We really liked the principle of providing tutoring 'in person' in the student's familiar environment, which leaves other tutoring institutions that work exclusively online far behind. We also had a very dedicated and reliable tutor who brought our child up to a good level of performance and thus did an excellent job. In addition, ABACUS is always available to answer questions and address other concerns, and you feel very well taken care of. Thank you very much and keep up the good work!

ABACUS Tutoring always focused on what was currently being covered in class and what our daughter needed to prepare for. They also discussed what would be important for the next lesson, and the tutor was always prepared and provided additional material.

The tutoring helped our daughter become more confident in English, both in writing and speaking. One afternoon a week was enough for our daughter to prepare for class on her own, and we no longer had to help her. This also made family life much easier. Thank you again!

We had a school change from a Montessori school to a middle school and were shocked to discover that the children barely had the basic knowledge. Both children, grades 5 and 8, receive tutoring from Abacus and have found their way around the new system very well. For us as parents, it is a great relief that the tutoring takes place at home and we don't have to drive around. Our tutor Mr. Grömmer is an absolute enrichment for our children because he not only supports the children competently with their school work but also gives them the self-confidence to achieve great things with a lot of praise, sensitivity and understanding. The children get very good grades and look forward to the tutoring. Ms. Schmidt and Mr. Bestler are always available to answer questions. The whole team is always friendly and courteous. Simply great!!! Many thanks to the whole team, you really saved us! I can only warmly recommend you!

Poor
Appointments are put off for weeks and then simply not kept. When you call, they say they tried to call but the cell phone was off for hours. The man on the phone is very unfriendly, interrupts you and gets loud. Absolutely unreliable and unprofessional.

We have had a very, very good experience with the ABACUS team Meyer and "our" tutor Mr. Rudnik for the subject mathematics (upper school).

After a surprising drop in performance at the end of grade 11, the Abacus team helped us extremely quickly (first with a comprehensive, personal consultation at our home) and then with a quick start to the lessons.

Mr. Rudnik always coordinated very well with us as parents, both in scheduling and in providing feedback on performance assessment. We initially booked the "Booster" in order to achieve promotion and then switched to once a week. Our grades have not only improved dramatically in the written section, but have even had a positive effect on our oral work.

We are extremely satisfied with the tutoring provided by Abacus and especially with Mr. Gallus Kalt as a tutor for our daughter in Latin. He was assigned to us after the first meeting - an absolute stroke of luck! Mr. Kalt not only explains the material clearly, but also provides the historical background, which makes the lessons lively and exciting. As a result, our daughter has become really good at Latin again.

Even if he sometimes seems a bit like a "scattered professor" on the phone, he shows exactly the opposite in class: competence, clarity and a lot of commitment. He is a wonderful teacher whom we can only warmly recommend.

As we have grown very fond of him, we have extended our contract and look forward to continuing to benefit from his broad knowledge of Latin and other subjects. A great and extremely competent tutor. :-)

My experience with this institute was unfortunately not satisfactory. The communication seemed neither professional nor customer-oriented to me.

During the phone call, I was initially told that they had to check the capacity of the teachers. Just half an hour later, however, I received a rejection with the explanation that all tutors were busy. This process seemed incomprehensible to me, as it seems very unlikely that a serious response could be obtained from all eligible teachers within such a short time.

In addition, I was told several times that I should simply "trust" the institute. In view of the fact that a completely unknown teacher was to come to our home without me receiving any further information about this person in advance, I found this attitude inappropriate. Trust requires transparency and comprehensible information - both of which I unfortunately missed here.

My queries were also only answered superficially, without really addressing my concerns. Overall, this created a very negative impression, which did not match the positive reviews I had previously read.

Based on my experience, I unfortunately cannot recommend this institute to others.!!!!!
