After smoking (with great pleasure) for over 25 years, I thought it was time to quit last year. I managed to quit for ten weeks - then I fell off the wagon due to the combination of Christmas stress, coffee and my husband's cigarettes in front of me.
When the request to testimonial came, my husband made the suggestion to apply for the program. I have always rather smiled at hypnosis, but if my husband would quit together with me like that, why not....
Then came the acceptance, and I immediately started chain smoking and found a thousand reasons why now is not the right time to stop smoking. But after the access code arrived and I took an evening to "read through" the program, I felt better: I was surprised by the additional material, found the whole course coherently structured and was happy not only to have to "passively" quit smoking, but also to be able to "actively" do something.
Five days later I listened to the first hypnosis session, but without the intention of quitting smoking directly. This was because I had five night shifts ahead of me and didn't want to suffer any withdrawal symptoms. But obviously hypnosis really does something to you, because on the day in question at 12 o'clock sharp I smoked my last cigarette. That's now 1776 cigarettes (and 592 Euros saved) & exactly 7 weeks ago, and I intend to stay on the ball.
I have listened to all the tools and hypnoses that come with the course (if possible as recommended). Sabrina's voice has an incredibly calming effect on me, her instructions are easy to follow and together with the background music I always relax very quickly. Most of the time I even drift off completely.
Since I work in nursing, I don't always have time or energy to listen to the suggestion hypnosis due to changing shifts. I then replace this with the "Positive Power Session" which works great.
So this course is an all-around carefree package: with preparation, the actual hypnoses, and the option of a quick refresher in between, so to speak. And unlike my attempt last year, I'm now actually only concerned with the positive consequences of not smoking anymore. This is exactly why I would recommend the course to anyone who would like to quit smoking!
