Axel Brodehl specializes in drafting labor law agreements (contracts for managing directors, employment contracts, remote work and mobile work, working hours, company cars, etc.) and conducting negotiations.
His books, aimed at practitioners, present labor law topics in an easy-to-understand manner without legal jargon. They include recommendations for action.
In his lectures and seminars, Axel Brodehl introduces legal laypeople to the most costly mistakes that typically occur time and again. He places great importance on a varied presentation with numerous practical examples. (He largely omits legal provisions during his presentations—except when speaking to specialist audiences from the HR sector or those with a legal background.)
The target audience consists of entrepreneurs and executives, including CEOs, managers at all levels, plant managers, branch managers, division heads, department heads, team leaders, group leaders, foremen, and supervisors (of all genders).
In in-house training sessions, Axel Brodehl addresses the specific needs of the company. In open seminars, on the other hand, participants also benefit from the questions raised by participants from other companies and industries.
Seminars on the topics of employment contracts, fixed-term contracts, written warnings, termination, and working time law are the most frequently requested. Since the COVID-19 crisis, Axel Brodehl has also been conducting more online seminars, primarily on remote work and mobile working. Since June 2022—two days after the Bundestag’s decision—he has also been regularly presenting on the new obligations and pitfalls of the German Working Time Records Act. The topics of time tracking and working hours are evergreen, consistently relevant, and—from a legal perspective—extremely risky for companies; new uncertainties have also arisen due to recent rulings by the Federal Labor Court.
Axel Brodehl practices nationwide. His law firm is based in Frankfurt am Main.
