Before I went to Diadentis I had the same dentist for about 20 years. At least 2-4 times a year I was there for teeth cleaning. Regularly when I had inflammations and of course for any other problems with my teeth. I assumed that I was in good hands there over the years and that problems would be detected early. My "pocket depths" on the gums measured up to that point regularly ranged between 4 and 10 mm. After numerous inflammations over the last few years, my former dentist wanted to extract all four of my molars (the back ones). That was also my last appointment with her.
On a recommendation, I turned to Diadentis, since tooth preservation is their credo. The first impression was already very good, the reception and waiting room are very modern without being cool. The reception staff was pleasantly friendly, and the waiting time of 10 minutes was unusually short. The only thing that overshadowed the first impression was the diagnosis. My bone had degenerated due to years of disregard, I had tartar under my gums and chronic inflammation. 20 years of regular dental care should have prevented something like this.
At Diadentis I had the perfect symbiosis of specialists for bacterial diseases (Dr. Söhngen), surgery (Dr. Schmid) and root canal treatment (Dr. Lang). The diagnosis was made with the consultation of all three doctors. The treatment plan that was subsequently agreed with me spanned about 4 years. I can hardly remember a month when I was not there at least once. But it was not only the milestones of the therapy that were set. In intensive discussions, I received individual advice on how I could (must) support the medical measures at home, including the proper use of interdental brushes. A few weeks ago I had my last scheduled treatment. My pocket depth is 1-3 mm and I can't even remember my last tooth infection. The bone recession has stopped and there has been regeneration in some areas, albeit minor. After almost four years of treatment, I have experienced almost all facets of this assessment and would unhesitatingly add another star everywhere.
During this time I not only got to know an absolutely competent and perfectly cooperating team of doctors who accompanied me almost painlessly through a therapy paved with surgical interventions, root canal treatments and numerous anesthetizations. All three of them have a high degree of empathy and down-to-earthness, and their healthy optimism never made me doubt that the therapy would be successful for my dental conditions.
If there is a secret of good doctors, at Diadentis it certainly lies in a perfect practice team that always radiated good humor and passion. Also at the evening appointments. Therefore, my special thanks go to the perfectly trained assistants, who are much more than that, to the ladies at the reception, who put up with my rescheduled appointments with tireless friendliness, and to the team from the accounting department, who always had an open ear when there were problems with the subsidy and had the necessary competence to find solutions here. Therefore, I would like to take this opportunity to recommend this practice to all civil servants who are entitled to benefits, with the recommendation that they contact the practice in good time with their problems with the benefits office.
The emergency service for Diadentis patients is Diadentis itself. Already on the first day I was given a cell phone number for emergencies. I had to use it once when a temporary came loose over the weekend. Two hours later I was treated by Dr. Schmid and his assistant (on Saturday!). I don't know the opening hours at all. During the years I had appointments before 8 o'clock and some where I left the practice at 20:45.
Last but not least, I would like to mention the one place in the practice that I have always been most afraid of (even today) and where I have also laughed the most. The room next to the exit. The realm of Mrs. Rehbehn-Gardlo. A woman with competence, humor and an ultrasonic cleaner. After the children's setting of the device turned out to be only partially suitable for my sensitive teeth during the professional teeth cleaning, she didn't hesitate for a second to clean my teeth manually. Even if it took 90 minutes (at no extra charge).
After all these years I could certainly write more. If there are any questions regarding my experience, I will be happy to answer them by e-mail at marc.sikorski@gmx.de.
