After sending a long email describing my problem, we scheduled a free phone consultation and discussed my issues. Even during our initial contact, I noticed his very calm, thoughtful, and meticulous—yet pleasant—manner, which was reaffirmed during our first in-person session.
To be honest, I was very curious during the first hypnosis session, but also a little nervous about what to expect. However, after just a short time, I was extremely relaxed and able to follow the instructions at all times—instructions that essentially involved open-ended or unresolved questions from my inner child.

I smoked for almost 60 years. The desire to quit became stronger and stronger. However, I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to do it without help. So I read books and found out about hypnosis. Alexander is a very sensitive, empathic person with a wealth of knowledge and experience of the human psyche. His hypnosis sessions before and after are particularly special. This is an important approach in the treatment in order to specifically address each individual symptom, emotion and thought. The amount of time he takes for this is crucial for a good treatment process and is unfortunately no longer taken to this extent by most therapists. In my treatments, I always had a feeling of being treated at eye level and of understanding for my worries and problems. The worries that my mind works too much during hypnosis, that too many of my thoughts during hypnosis disrupt the treatment process, that sometimes not as much comes to light in the treatment as you would like or that you experience something during hypnosis that takes you away too much....ALL this he took away my fears with conversations, sensitivity, examples and his being there. This resulted in a deep trust and letting go in the treatments. I can speak of a success in the treatment, a path that you walk together with him and in which you work on yourself again and again.
All those who have problems, worries, fears, compulsions, a nicotine addiction or anything else can turn to him with confidence. It's like a massage, only for the mind :). You have nothing to lose, more to gain.

Alexander Fenz's practice is strategically located in the city center, easily accessible by public transport and just a few meters from the nearest streetcar stop.
The premises themselves are by no means sterile like a traditional doctor's surgery, but are pleasantly homely.
Treatment includes a preliminary consultation, during which Alexander, rather than Dr. Fenz, listens to his patients' concerns, addresses them and explains the treatment methods and goals in detail. Afterwards, everyone is free to decide whether and to what extent further treatment is appropriate. In contrast to insurance representatives, for example, there is no pressure, either in terms of time or content.
During the treatment itself, Alexander also takes enough time for the three phases of introductory explanations, the treatment itself and the follow-up. He does not follow a standardized approach, but instead addresses the specific needs and goals of each patient individually.

I myself was treated by Alexander for social phobias. I'm no clown or solo entertainer now, but that wasn't my goal at all. Rather, the focus was on (first) contact with other people or dealing with difficult superiors, and I actually find both easier now.
The only criticism is that you sometimes have to wait quite a long time for a free appointment, but this in turn speaks for Alexander.

Helped me very sensitively with my sleep problem.

I have never met such a great person. Understanding, helpful, honest and extremely human from start to finish. Alex was really a great help for my son (13 years old). He takes his time and leaves no question unanswered, I can only recommend it to anyone and would go to Alex again and again.

I went to Alexander to put an end to smoking. After almost 5 months without a cigarette, I think I can say that it worked wonderfully. I had previously smoked for almost 10 years with varying degrees of intensity, but lately significantly more. Previous attempts to stop smoking had usually failed after a few days.
In fact, the two hypnoses almost completely eliminated the desire to smoke. Today, I can stand next to smokers without any problems and no longer feel any cravings even in otherwise typical situations such as stress, after meals, etc. Smokers are often afraid that by quitting they will have to do without something for the rest of their lives. In fact, hypnosis did a kind of "reset" for me. I forgot what it felt like to smoke.
Because of show hypnosis, there is a lot of prejudice. All I can say is that I can remember each of the two hypnoses and knew what was happening at all times. Actually, most of the time I had the feeling that I was not in hypnosis at all.

A. Fenz has changed my life in a positive way. Already after the first hypnosis session with a detailed preliminary talk and analysis of my problems I did not recognize myself. My thoughts were always so positive afterwards and the most important thing is. I simply don't have any craving or desire to smoke anymore. It just feels so good because I, who used to smoke all the time, am now smoke-free and I don't miss it. Even now after several weeks it is a great feeling to have no craving for cigarettes.
My conclusion: If you want it, you can do it. You have to want it, then it is very easy.
