If I had not also participated in the ADAC class action, I would not have received any compensation because of the statute of limitations.
The recommendation to be satisfied with the ridiculous sum of 1,000 € I found impossible.

Unfortunately, higher payments cannot be agreed with the VW Group in the case of higher mileage, as a usage allowance may be deducted for kilometers driven. Until a more consumer-friendly decision in this matter by the European Court of Justice, this deduction is unfortunately in accordance with the law.
In cases like yours, we and our partner law firm have justified a suspension of the statute of limitations with the model declaratory action, since the suspension of the statute of limitations is not recognized by the VW Group and its lawyers. It is part of the basic tactics of VW's lawyers to reject the admissibility of our class actions, as this is the easiest way to evade an assessment of the question of guilt.
