Dear Sir or Madam,
I am myself for over 20 years in the coaching field active u. Besides active teams in many classes now together with two other coaches the G-Jgd team of the SVL taken over. The three of us train about 20 children.
Now to their soccer camp: All children of our team who participated in their training reported the same scenario every day. A final game was held, in which children of different age groups were playing with each other. The little ones logically stayed on the track accordingly, were picked last u. had zero ball contact let alone a sense of accomplishment. I had to motivate my son for the 2nd and 3rd day to go to their camp in the morning. I attributed this to the final game & still defended their work, assuming that a sufficient number of coaches were adequately taking care of the respective age groups. On Saturday, I personally watched over 2 hours what and how the work was done. Here I must say that I could now understand the displeasure of my son.
1. over 45 min a running game was organized, in which the parents participated. The children (and you should know this) were bored after 10 minutes.
2. a 16 year old boy was responsible for about 20 children.
3. afterwards a course was completed, which has a nice soccer aspect if done correctly and coordinated. It was laid out as a relay race, in which several groups competed against each other. There was no equal distribution of the groups, which meant that many children did not get their turn, nor was anything explained or corrected in the execution. 4.
4. in the connection then a ball at the leash was demonstrated and offered for the sales with the reference, this is not more favorably to acquire and it costs normallywise 75€ (these are café travel methods... the ball is to be acquired on each usual Internet side for 25€ and more favorably).
5. the crowning: THE FINAL GAME... here the parents played against the children....ca. 20 parents gg. 25 4-7 year olds on a small field. THAT has nothing to do with soccer. The fun factor was also zero.
CONCLUSIONS:
Over the entire 2h, the kids were busy for about 30MIn. The rest of the time they were left to themselves. The number of trainers was a joke in relation to the number of children. For such a price, I would have liked to see adequate age-appropriate training. For this, however, the age groups would have had to be separated much more strictly, which logically was not possible with the small number of trainers. In my eyes, the communication on site was non-existent. I cannot explain a complex exercise such as the relay parcous only once and believe that 4,5,6 year olds could do it automatically. Frustration is the consequence.
If I do a demonstration with parents and present such a bad program, then I understand in retrospect why my son did not want to join them on day 2 and 3 and he loves playing soccer.
In communication with many other parents, my impressions were confirmed especially in comparison to other youth soccer schools that have been attended. In my opinion, these three days were pure rip-off and money-making, whatever comes out in the end. We will definitely not participate in a STANNO soccer school again and I will also advise everyone else not to.
With kind regards
Andreas Gasper
