Small deduction because of the grade (2.0), especially since the lecturer is not exactly known for giving top grades. I would have expected it anyway, since the strong professionalism is advertised. I don't want to deny that, but I would have been happier with a 1.x, of course.

I used to work for another agency and was really not satisfied because I had no direct contact with the author. With acadmedia, on the other hand, I had contact with my author throughout the entire process and thus had the opportunity to get a work according to my ideas, where every detail just fits. If you are looking for individual work instead of "mass-produced goods", this is the right place!

So let's start with the positive points. My author was really nice and visibly eager to support me. Also, the agreement and cooperation, as far as it took place, worked well and as promised. However, I clearly stated from the beginning that my topic unfortunately could not be changed (unfortunately, I was already registered). So I was very disappointed when I was told after a good week that the topic simply had too little literature and therefore a change was necessary to be able to support me. During the first conversation I was told that the topic could be tricky because it is very specific, but now I have lost a lot of time. Money was returned, but still annoying.

Regarding your specific case, you are right that your issue was a really very specific one. As a rule, even hard nuts are by no means a problem for us, as we have well-armed experts with the necessary know-how and competence profile, especially for hard cases.

The fact that we were unable to support you in your work despite all this experience was due, among other things, to the fact that the source material on your topic consists of very few and predominantly Spanish-language sources. Since even research in several databases, online catalogs and the holdings of university libraries did little to change this, we decided together with you and your author that we could not accept the project. This decision was also made in your favor, as we would not have been able to support you satisfactorily under these circumstances.

We are very sorry that you have lost a few days as a result. Please bear in mind that we could not foresee in advance that the source situation would really be so difficult. However, since this was the case, we thought it was only fair to you to communicate this directly and openly with you.

I therefore apologize once again on behalf of the team for the inconvenience and nevertheless wish you all the best and much success for your work and your further career! If you are still able to change the topic or need any other support, please feel free to get in touch. :-)

I asked for help with the literature research, since my topic/subject is quite new and not many books have been written about it so far. I felt almost a little stupid when, after what felt like two weeks of research, I came up with four or five suitable works and within six days my author had sent me two pages of recommended reading. Respect I say there only! :-D
