Great experience! Unique view over Augsburg and the surrounding area! Nils is an absolutely professional balloonist, you feel absolutely safe with him. Can only recommend a balloon ride with him and his team.

Yesterday's morning trip with Captain Nils was super nice. The weather played along; the view was terrific. Nils steered us safely and after 1 1/4 hours we landed gently near Gablingen. Everyone had a lot of fun helping to stow the balloon and the equipment. With coffee and drinks and "Keksle" we still had nice conversations. Nils thanked us and said goodbye with a souvenir gift, a great mug with the logo of the Augsburg Balloon Rides. It was super great!

The welcome at the meeting point was very friendly, the starting point for the balloon ride was super selected. That one was allowed / had to help with the construction and dismantling was the exciting in a super new experience.
During the ride everything was explained very well. All in all, a special experience with very nice and friendly people, in the balloon as well as in the escort vehicle.
Gladly I go along again.

The conclusion on the green field was not very motivating.

I am sorry that the conclusion was not to your full satisfaction. In times of Corona we are glad that we were able to offer a drink after the balloon flight in 2021, because in 20020 this was not possible. I do not know what was not motivating, I would like to ask you about it.

On the subject of balloon baptism: I have been a balloon pilot for over 25 years now and we decided about 5 years ago to abolish the balloon baptism with certificate. This resulted from the opinions and reactions of previous passengers. Many thought it was unnecessary and even "embarrassing", certificates were "forgotten" in the bus, etc. - this is meanwhile also my fullest opinion that this procedure with lighting hair, tipping champagne and smearing earth on the head is no longer up-to-date. We have also removed the balloon baptism from all descriptions, so you were expecting something that is no longer part of the scope of our offer. I'm sorry to hear that you were expecting the balloon baptism. Nevertheless, I hope that at least the balloon ride was nice for you!

We started in the morning at Friedberger See, are then right of the lake across the fields, after which we have crossed the highway would also already looked for a suitable place to come down. For 220, - € I expected for more than how to see only fields. That had to do with a balloon ride over Augsburg but times nothing. We were not even an hour on the road. Therefore, I was very disappointed, the other fellow travelers were of the same opinion.

Dear Anita,
I am sorry that you are disappointed. I certainly try to do my best often ("always" is certainly not possible). Regarding your flight: according to my logbook records for the balloon (this is mandatory!) we were in the air for 1:15 hours, so 75 minutes, which is not too short.
Regarding the direction: if we have little wind as in this case, we cannot take off closer to the center of Augsburg, because then we cannot find a landing place. This has also been explained before the trip during the briefing. Then I can only choose the best launch site (out of 5 around Augsburg) so that we can see Augsburg from a distance. This fact is also explained on our website. Ballooning depends on the weather and especially on the wind. This year, for example, we had little chance to fly over the city, because we simply had hardly any east or west wind! Unfortunately, we do not choose how the wind blows on a given day. From south to north or the other way around, it is unfortunately even more pointless with little wind, because even then we can not find a landing site and the city area is too large.

As for the other passengers, I can not say anything about it, but I always face all opinions and questions after the balloon flight and think that after 25 years of ballooning I can very well classify the mood over a beer or in the morning when drinking coffee together. I think the other opinions here about the ratings speak for the fact that we still do a good job and the balloon flights are very well received by most people. It was already our second balloon ride (but at completely different locations) with the provider and it was - as with the first balloon ride - just top! A balloon ride is always a unique experience for all involved :-) Everything worked out fine, even the weather was kind to us :-) We felt well taken care of by Nils and his team and there were no difficulties at all in making an appointment. Of course, you need a certain degree of flexibility when making an appointment: this is due to the short-term weather change or the daily changing weather forecast, to which the provider must respond accordingly to take no risk. The price is unfortunately high for all balloon flight companies, but it is and remains a unique experience which you remember with pleasure :-) The cup as a souvenir should also be kept "after Corona" :-) Should the opportunity arise, we will certainly book again with this provider: it was a great experience and was a lot of fun :-) The atmosphere in the 4 or 6 balloon is just gigantic
