I had consulted Mr. Gasteiger regarding an impending shareholder dispute. He already took a lot of time during the first meeting and tried to understand the somewhat complicated situation, which had been caused emotionally by the other party, by asking specific questions. He was very interested in an out-of-court settlement and worked out a multi-layered plan with me. This involvement of me as a client surprised me very positively, as Mr. Gasteiger did not follow a "pattern" at all and approached the case very individually.
As a 50% shareholder and managing director, I wanted to get out of the company as quickly as possible, without any disadvantages on my part. A claim against me became an assignment on my part combined with a claim against the other party. Since the other party constantly tried to create new facts, this dragged on for a while, but was finally resolved to my satisfaction. I also felt well taken care of interpersonally and any concerns were taken seriously by Mr. Gasteiger. Even when I noticed a gap in the contracts, albeit quite small, it was closed and thus also taken seriously. In the past, I have had to deal with lawyers in large law firms who did not even want an initial appointment without an advance payment - strictly billed by the hour without any significant success. There I felt more like a client number - in Gasteiger's office you are regarded and treated as an individual client at eye level. I would consult him again every time on corporate law issues and can therefore recommend him without reservation.
