Good medicine is bitter in the mouth
Good words prick the ear
For thousands of years mankind has treated itself with traditional medicine.
Today, more people are again swimming knowingly against the tide of the teachings of conventional medicine.
I am happy to help you find your own way through the maelstrom.
In doing so, I move in the fields of European and Asian healing traditions.
Treatments take place individually. First I listen to you and ask questions. Then I work out a treatment concept together with you, which is based on your current needs. The session is accompanied by me. I take as much time as is necessary for you. This may well take 1.5 hours for the first session. Non-binding informational sessions can take up to 1/2 hour. Please take the time to let the treatment sink in. Stroll through the picturesque old town. Give your body the opportunity to get used to the new conditions after the treatment.
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
For me, this means that all the therapies I recommend have been experienced by me first hand. So I know very well what I am putting you through. However, this also means that I naturally appreciate conventional medicine and know the limits of my options and will recommend you to specialists if necessary.
Nutrition
has always played an important role in our lives. Also and especially Chinese medicine emphasizes the connection between health and nutrition for each individual. Have you ever thought about why the goose is always prepared with mugwort? There are many ways to eat appropriately to one's own needs and thus to help one's own body to more vitality and health.
Chinese medicine
has been practiced in China for about 3000 documented years.
However, the Ötzi has tattoos in therapeutically relevant places that indicate conscious use.
A self-contained system that looks at the human body from a different angle than Western conventional medicine. Acupuncture is probably the best known application of this system of medicine.
Other therapies accompany it.
All these are applied individually according to the pulse-tongue diagnosis.
Herbs
Already as a child the fascination for herbs was awakened in me by a mountain farmer's wife. Every person, every animal on the farm was treated by her with different herbal decoctions. The older I get, the more I appreciate the far-reaching abilities these helpers have. Whether alone or accompanying other therapies- they always unfold their effect. Since we live here in Europe, I also prefer the medicinal plants that grow here. However, when Chinese medicinal herbs are indicated, I also use them.
Mushrooms
Medicinal mushrooms have a very long tradition. Even the ice man from the Ötztal Alps had two medicinal mushrooms in his luggage.
Due to their composition, mushrooms have a great potential of action, which is applauded in countries like Japan, China, Russia and America. Even serious illnesses can thus be treated extremely effectively with them.
Acupuncture- Moxa
Who does not know them, the thin steel needles?
But how many know what a therapist can do with them?
For thousands of years, Asian medicine has been removing blockages in the body that block the self-healing powers.
But what about needle phobia?
Moxa- the incenses with mugwort herb, which by the warmth also bring the blockages in motion. Especially in winter I like to use moxibustion instead of needles therapeutically.
Deacidification- hyperacidity
Many everyday ailments, which are generally called signs of aging, are due to hyperacidity.
Are you constantly tired?
Do you have stiff muscles?
Do you have problems falling asleep and staying asleep?
Do you have trouble dealing with stress?
Then you could be over-acidified.
This can be found out quite easily.
Talk to me about it.
Massages & Co
All these wonderfully relaxing treatments basically stimulate the immune system. This results, with regular use, in a higher resistance to disease.
Not to be underestimated is the calming effect on the nervous system.
The Chinese healing massages loosen blockages of the life energy and are a proven remedy for tension and pain.
Honey massage helps detoxify the body.
