Dr. Schmitz is a very capable experienced physician who cares for the patient individually and takes the necessary time.
Using methods that are as risk-free as possible, the best and most effective treatment is carried out on an individual basis.
And this treatment works.
Dr. Schmitz does not delegate, but lends a hand and takes care of the patient himself.
One feels very well taken care of.
I thank Dr. Schmitz for the helpful treatment of my pain syndrome and recommend him without reservation.

After a long search, I finally found an orthopedist in Dr. Michael Schmitz who is very competent and empathetic. During my first visit, he had a lot of time for me, so that I could calmly present my complaints. He is a doctor who does not immediately prescribe strong medication, but tries to heal in a gentle way. Unfortunately, it is rare to find such a capable and humane orthopedist today. He sees not only the physical complaints, but also the psyche of the patient. I will not consult any other orthopedist in the future.
A thank you also goes to the very friendly practice team.

The practice "The new way" corresponds to this practice designation. Not only the furnishings are new, modern and of high quality, but the overall aura is pleasant and soothing. This also applies to the assistants and, of course, especially to the doctor. His diagnoses and treatments show that he breaks new ground when medically necessary. Before the use of injections or even knives is considered, alternative, milder but nevertheless effective procedures are used, whose side effects consist above all in also activating the body's self-healing powers.

The first time I was here due to a recommendation and I am fully on enthusiastic. After several treatments by other doctors, my problem did not improve, then I made an appointment with Dr. Schmitz. I am not a private patient, I have to pay out of my own pocket, but it is worth it, because already after the first treatment I notice the success. A big thank you to Dr. Schmitz. Super doctor and super service in the practice. I can only recommend him 100%.

Due to bad post-traumatic degenerations in the spine area, I have had a few experiences with orthopedists working for health insurance companies over the last 15 years, which I would have gladly done without.
I still know Dr Schmitz from his old place of work and followed him in 2018 as a self-payer on his new path.
With his emphatic, approachable manner, he has accompanied me tirelessly and unwaveringly and has always been an honest advisor. Finally, he has managed to "soothe my diva" so that I have been able to get along without any orthopedic support for 18 months now.
However, should I need orthopedic help again, there is absolutely no question that I will make my way to Altenahr again.
Here you are perceived as a human being in a holistic way, individually accompanied by friendly and approachable staff.

Even the reception in this bright and stylish practice is soothing.
Dr. Schmitz takes his time in a very personal conversation, during the physical examination as well as during the following treatment.
He responds to my sensitivities and special needs in a targeted but gentle manner.
The healing results were very soon noticeable and I had no more complaints.

In 2019, I spent a week as an inpatient in a hospital due to an injury to my ISG. Unfortunately, they could only help me there with minor success. After further visits to various orthopedists, all of whom wanted to place injections in the spinal canal under CT, but ultimately brought me no cure, my family doctor referred me to the practice mentioned here. Only Dr. Schmitz was able to help me 100% with his methods. The information given above is voluntary and out of deepest conviction! One is received and seen off politely, appointments are uncomplicated and patient-oriented. I and my "back" are doing very well since the visits to Dr. Schmitz and I can definitely recommend the practice.

I think it's great that people don't always resort to injections right away! If someone like me has to take medication every day, it's great that there is an effective alternative. I feel that I am in such good hands here that I will continue to put up with the long journey, even if it is not always possible without injections.
