Everything was great, except for the food and drinks at the castle. The two or three waiters and cooks were completely overwhelmed. There was hardly anyone available to take drink orders. The food (BBQ) was subpar and there wasn't enough of it. Classic poor planning and a total lack of interest in customer service. Too bad—that really brought the mood down. :-/

We had booked the beginner’s course as a group, but ended up being just the two of us—which we actually really liked in this case, because we had even more time and received more personalized instruction.
Verena, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and she also had lots of valuable tips on mountain hiking and via ferrata.
We found the via ferrata itself easy to navigate and perfect for focusing calmly and intently on the equipment and how to use it.

100% recommended, and many thanks to Verena.

My wife and I did our first via ferrata in Boppard as part of a beginner’s course and were completely satisfied! The owner, Ralf Zilles, guided us personally. You can tell right away that he has a wealth of experience and knows exactly what he’s talking about. Everything was explained calmly, clearly, and with a lot of patience, and he shared plenty of helpful practical tips. What was especially nice: you can tell just how much Ralf enjoys his work—his enthusiasm is simply contagious. We felt safe and in good hands the entire time. A great introduction for beginners—highly recommended!

Verena was a great host. She picked up all the participants and made us feel safe. All the relevant instructions were explained clearly, and she made sure to address the needs of every group member.
Personally, I think a smaller group size would be better. After all, there are longer wait times at the “climbing spots.”

For us, the tour was excellent preparation for our climb of Triglav in Slovenia. Verena was very friendly and knowledgeable, and she did a great job leading the group! We learned a lot of tips that really helped us on Triglav! Plus, the amazing view of the Rhine!

The tour with Verena was really great—exciting, fun, and safe—it’s just a blast and perfect for anyone who wants to try via ferrata for the first time. The via ferrata is great for beginners, and the stunning panoramic view of the Rhine Loop near Boppard is the icing on the cake. :)

Dear Ralf, thank you for this wonderfully organized introductory via ferrata course!
The tour was expertly guided from start to finish—with a calm demeanor, expert knowledge, and a very pleasant atmosphere. The small group size of just ten people was especially nice. This allowed plenty of time for personalized tips, questions, and support, so we always felt safe and well taken care of.

The introduction was clear, practical, and motivating. Especially for beginners, it was the perfect mix of learning, safety, and the fun of via ferrata climbing.

Thank you so much for this amazing experience and all the helpful tips—highly recommended, and definitely not my last tour! Klaus & Cordula
