On this trip, which had been very well prepared by ECC Travel, there were some problems with the implementation. For example, shortly after our arrival, the hotel in Jerusalem was canceled due to overbooking. This required a rethink. So the Jerusalem program was completed from Bethlehem and the Bethlehem from Jerusalem because the replacement hotel was in Bethlehem. This hotel was for the last 2 nights. The driving turned out to be very difficult because we constantly had to deal with traffic jams on the access roads. This caused some of the sightseeing to falter. However, it was very good that all religious events could be carried out, because the idea of pilgrimage was very important for our group. All the dates reserved by ECC could be kept. A small drawback was that the tour guide for Israel had major hearing problems and communication was already impaired. The tour guide for Bethlehem and Hebron was too businesslike. However, the agency in conjunction with ECC-Reisen did everything possible to make this trip a success for the group. A special thank you to Mr. Völkel for allowing us to add the Chagall windows at Hassada Hospital to the program outside of the original program. The whole group came back from this trip with many emotional impressions. For almost all of them it was the first visit to Israel. It was a pity that at the time of our trip there was an overcrowding of tourists at the historical places. We did not expect to find such a crowd. It is also unfortunate that after the trip a number of participants have now contracted the corona virus.
The local meetings were a special highlight, with an Armenian artist, a priest of the Armenian Apostolic Church, with the childcare work of the YMCA in Spittak supported from Switzerland and the visit to the international school in Dilidjan.
First class cooperation with the staff of ECC-Studienreisen. Feedback request even on the spot. All always very friendly, problem-oriented and goal-oriented. It is fun to organize educational trips with ECC-Studienreisen. All participants are also extremely satisfied.
The jointly created planning with consideration of own suggestions and wishes was very enjoyable. The guides have done a super job. And it is very helpful that the staff was easily accessible and called back quickly if necessary. It was my seventh group trip with ECC, but possibly not the last.
ECC Studienreisen has worked out a well-balanced and well thought-out program. On our trip we had qualified and dedicated tour guides, both in Jerusalem and Bethlehem. We felt well advised in the run-up to the trip as well as during the trip!
We were served in a friendly and professional manner from the very beginning.
Even our special requests were perfectly incorporated.
Fast response times and complete information made our trip to the Holy Land a real highlight. All travelers were happy to finally be able to realize the long-cherished wish. Everything worked out :-).
Destination: 9 days trip to Egypt (Cairo, Alexandria, Sinai)
Pilgrimage group tour: 20 people
Performance and quality: professional and individually tailored to the group needs, which corresponded to the company's own addition "made to measure".
perfect execution on site (hotels, transfers/bus quality and drivers, very good local German speaking guide, good timing during the whole trip, absolute reliability and punctuality, high security.
Overall impression: very good
After many group trips with ECC, I can assess that the planning and execution of a trip are always customized offers that respond to individual specifications. Service before, during and after the trip are a matter of course.
After all, it was not my first ECC trip; from this you can see that I was satisfied with the previous ECC trips. This time in Castile I was extremely satisfied, especially because of the excellent local tour guide Isabel Campo. She took care of all organizational aspects, but above all was by far the best communicator of information about the country and its people, history, culture and political background. Especially the interweaving of political backgrounds with power and economic political basics she conveyed brilliantly and yet in a generally understandable way. It was a pleasure to wander with her through the museums, castles and monasteries and to listen to her. Her selection of exemplary important places, works of art and monuments was convincing.
Our guide was very well received by the group with his calm manner. He provided very well-balanced information, meaning: he was not a continuous speaker, whom you quickly no longer follow; he was very well-founded in the field of history as well as art history.
Our hotels were top notch, both in terms of rooms and meals.
You should pay attention to the age structure of the group and accordingly omit one or the other of the visits.
The group should pay attention to the age structure of the group and accordingly leave out one or the other sightseeing in order to have more time to regenerate after returning to the hotel until dinner.
Pilgrimage / cultural trip Baltic Gothic: ECC responded to all the wishes of our community. Hotel and restaurant selection were great, local tour guides were convincing with sound knowledge. Mr. Rassek from ECC was an extremely competent and sympathetic contact person for us during the trip preparation.
Special praise goes to our guide Liane Scherf: VERY competent, helpful, likeable!
The two hotels Gullo/Acconia and Grand President/Siderno were good in terms of accommodation and catering, very canteen-like impersonal unfortunately the breakfast room in the Grand President.
Great the wine tasting with excellent "snack" at Ceraudo in Strongole. Weather wonderfully sunny
and warm. Program almost completely carried out. Miserable the organization of Eurowings.
In both North and South Cyprus, the hotel accommodations were very good. I would like to give a big praise to the two guides. Especially the knowledge of Marina Cetinaslan is admirable, but also Georg in the south impressed me. The extensive sightseeing program was great organized, but at 35 ° C very strenuous. After returning from the day tours, there was hardly (too little) time to relax until dinner. I would have liked to visit one less excavation site and one less church.
