Egmont Roozenbeek gave the keynote address at our symposium "Tactical Situations in Emergency Services" on April 26, 2023. His topic: "Leadership in extreme situations". Our symposium is the largest civilian event on "Operational Tactics and Tactical Medicine in Threat Situations". Its audience: 500 emergency personnel from the DACH region from rescue services, fire departments, security services, state and federal police, special units and the German armed forces. Many of the audience members have personal experience with extreme situations, partly as leaders in rampage incidents and terrorist attacks in the recent past. Egmont Roozenbeek faced this demanding audience and received "standing ovations" at the end. Authentic, personal and absolutely captivating every second, that is how the 45 minutes of speaking time can be summarized. His impulses on the topic of "Leadership in Extreme Situations" were described from his own experience, realistic and at the same time extremely inspiring. Rarely has a keynote speaker received so much positive feedback. As organizers, we can absolutely recommend Mr. Egmont Roozenbeek. He was a great asset to our event.
