Mr. Köhler really moved me with the special way he delivered the eulogy.

I had seen Matthias speak at a farewell and memorial service last year—because he made such an outstanding and positive impression, he was our first choice to speak at my father’s memorial and farewell service. We were very glad that Matthias was able to organize the service for my father in such a challenging situation.

Through a comprehensive questionnaire that we as a family were asked to complete, Matthias was able to gain a very good understanding of what made my father special as a person. Through the subsequent remembrance conversation, Matthias deepened his understanding of my father and developed the content for the eulogy and the structure of the memorial service. Working with Matthias also helped our family gain a much clearer picture of my father once again. This has been a great help to us in understanding and coming to terms with his loss.

During the memorial and farewell service, everything went perfectly without exception. Matthias—together with the other participants—brilliantly highlighted my father’s fascinating life once again in a comprehensive and varied way. It couldn’t have been better—the entertainment was very fitting. Thanks to the clearly immense dedication of everyone involved—especially Matthias—my father was given a very dignified send-off.

Even during our preliminary discussions, we greatly appreciated your empathetic manner, your attentiveness, and your valuable advice. You succeeded in painting such a vivid and authentic portrait of our husband and father, Schmitti, based on our memories and stories, that everyone present immediately knew who you were talking about. You captured his personality, his quirks, and his essence in a way that touched us deeply. And you even managed to bring a smile to our faces on this difficult day.

The eulogy was not only dignified and moving, but also incredibly personal. Many guests told us afterward how moved they were by your words and how accurately and warmly you described our husband/father. It was as if they had seen him right before their eyes once more.

During a very difficult time for us, you helped create a dignified and beautiful farewell. We are very grateful to you for that.

There’s one more thing we’d like to highlight. Actually, the timing didn’t work out for you that day, but there were some small things you had in common with Schmitti—the chemistry was just there, and you couldn’t say no :-). And for that, we are infinitely grateful to you.

Mr. Matthias Köhler’s calm demeanor, sensitivity, and empathy are truly unparalleled. There was no time pressure during the preliminary meeting or on the phone calls. Mr. Köhler was always available, addressed every concern, and offered advice, ensuring that this eulogy was a very beautiful farewell for my husband and that the pain receded far into the background.
Through his calm demeanor, Mr. Köhler gave the impression that this was not a eulogy, but a speech for a special occasion. From the very beginning, we found our collaboration with you to be very respectful. My mother’s life was beautifully portrayed during the eulogy. Other attendees at the funeral service also praised your eulogy. It was a sad day for us, but thanks to the collaboration between the Solefleur Funeral Home and you, the day also became a very special one for all of us...

The eulogy was exactly as we had imagined it. It was very heartfelt and focused on the strengths of the deceased. It included many memories, and it allowed us to say our goodbyes with dignity.

I first spoke with Matthias over the phone, and I have to say that I immediately felt I could trust him after just a few sentences. I think that feeling was mutual.

Since I deal with many people on a daily basis myself, I think I’m pretty good at judging who can be trusted and who can’t. Matthias is a trustworthy, serious, and at the same time very empathetic person with whom you feel at ease right away.

Even in our interactions with my siblings and with the many questions that needed to be clarified beforehand, we never felt that anything was forced or impersonal. On the contrary: his open, honest, and warm manner helped us greatly during this difficult time.

The eulogy he prepared and delivered for our beloved mother was dignified, personal, and touching. It gave us a great deal of strength, especially on the day of the funeral, and helped us say our goodbyes.

For this, we can only say thank you from the bottom of our hearts. I would recommend Matthias anytime, not only as a funeral speaker but also for other significant life events, such as a non-religious wedding ceremony or a marriage.

My siblings and I would like to once again express our heartfelt thanks for his open, honest manner and his wonderful support. We are very grateful for how he walked this difficult path alongside us.

Thanks to his detailed questionnaire—which, of course, should be filled out carefully—Matthias Köhler arrives at the in-person consultation well-prepared. His ability to grasp the essence of a situation is outstanding, and he writes a eulogy that is so personal, it feels as though he knew the deceased personally. His approach made the ceremony unforgettable for many people, and I will always cherish the memory of that day.

I contacted Matthias because I wanted him to deliver the eulogy at my mother’s funeral.
