1 year ago I was advised on my lipedema by Doz. Dr. Matiasek - it was a corrective operation (in two sessions) on my legs, after I had been badly operated on by another doctor 3 years previously in connection with my illness and a correction was absolutely necessary. I don't think that many doctors would dare to do this in such a case - Doz. However, Dr. Matiasek is extremely experienced in this field, a very good and calm consultant/expert, empathetic and without any prejudices - you always have the feeling that he knows exactly what he is doing. That was very important for me in my case, with a negative history.
One year after the operations, I can say that they were really successful - the healing went well (no comparison to the operation 3 years before with another doctor), the pain was much less after the operations with Doz. Dr. Matiasek, the pain was much less, even the previously botched skin appearance is now much nicer and so far the abnormal fat seems to have been suctioned off extensively enough - it is no longer forming, the pain of lipedema has disappeared.
Many thanks at this point not only to Doz. Dr. Matiasek, but also to his caring team - I must mention Mrs. Stadler in particular, because she really helped me mentally during my stay in hospital and was a great support to me. Someone is always available by phone during the hospital stay.
I assume that Doz. Dr. Matiasek is also very experienced in all other medical topics/interventions - but I can also highly recommend him explicitly for the sensitive topic of "lipedema" and would have him perform any further necessary surgery at any time. I wish I had known him earlier and had had all the procedures for my lipoedema carried out by him - I would have been spared a lot. There are only a few good and experienced doctors in this field! THANK YOU!
