Mental strength in sports means the ability to regulate yourself and enables the conscious control of your attention, emotions and behavior. With the goal to perform your sport with joy and ease and to be good when it matters!
Much too late now I write here about the wonderful Eva and the "Bergab" training :)
With a lot of heart you not only took away my fear, but learned to work and deal with it in a mindful way. Instead of getting stressed out, I go through our curve program in my mind and gain control over my thoughts and the (down)hill ride. And just like you said before, the fun and speed also came very quickly.
Many, many thanks for your calm and empathetic manner, the security you convey and also the "getting to know yourself better".
I can highly recommend Eva and her coaching as well as the additional tailwind to everyone.
Dear Eva, the Tailwind Coaching was a great gift for me, what luck that I discovered your offer here! The initial skepticism in relation to my own fears (according to the motto "What I myself can not mentally counteract, no coaching will solve."), has subsided within a very short time during the coaching. Your friendly, confident, professional approach to the fears I described has brought me a great deal further, now I practice diligently :-) . Thank you for making such individually tailored training possible!!! V.
After many years of struggling with various mental stones that I regularly threw in my own way during hard training sessions and competitions, I took heart and arranged a trial session with Eva. And I immediately realized that it was doing me good. Now, almost 1 year later I have learned so much in the coaching sessions about myself and how to deal with the mental challenges in sports. I am now much better at stepping out of my comfort zone and pushing aside old beliefs. I have always felt super taken care of with Eva and look forward to upcoming coaching sessions.
Eva is level-headed, listens well and can thus approach and solve the issue perfectly. Of course, you have to do something for it yourself, she is not a magician. But with her guidance and your own commitment, everyone can achieve success. Especially in sports, people like to tackle goals with a coach. I can really recommend Eva without reservation for the mental component!
Triathlon - a passion that has captured me.
Sport has always been my thing! Swimming, cycling and running.
So in 2018 I decided to do my first little triathlon. And as it happens, I tasted blood and have been doing it ever since. This year my first Olympic distance was on my bucket list. In the meantime I say done! For me successfully completed, 5th in the age group with a quite respectable time.
This time I have to owe to a large extent Eva!
Because, I drive incredibly gladly racing bike, also fast, also downhill and uphill, but the narrow curves! Before these I always had an oppressive stomach feeling, caused by two driving errors that brought me to the fall. Nothing bad happened to me, only abrasions and bruises, but the head cinema remained and became bigger and bigger.
And then a friend recommended Eva Helms to me. He praised her mental coaching in the highest tones.
I DO THE SAME HERE! Very high praise!!!!
Eva gave me the tricks and security when driving downhill curves. Incredibly the knot is burst!
So this year I pedaled full out on the Olympic distance and confidently mastered the difficulty of the tight turns and pinholes. During my triathlon I thought directly of Eva several times and this brought a smile to my face.
Thank you, gladly again!
Actually, I came across Eva's site via the topic "Stress-free downhill with the road bike" and stumbled across the "Changing times" rather by chance. To learn about "dealing with menopause" from the perspective of a professional mental coach immediately excited me. Eva opened up some new ways of thinking and looking at things that help me get through the changeable times (...and also now through the pandemic times) easier. Her practical advice on what is especially good for my body in menopause and how I can permanently program my mindset to be positive, have directly motivated me to continue to pursue my (athletic, professional and private) goals. Many thanks to you Eva for this very inspiring coaching session. Petra from Pforzheim
Dear Eva, rather by chance I stumbled into your lecture "Changeable times" on the subject of menopause. How good that someone with your wealth of experience in sports mental coaching takes on this topic! Your clear view of this important topic for women in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, coupled with your professionalism and experience was very enriching for me. I take with me that it is worthwhile to take good care of yourself in this area as well and to get support from an empathetic professional like you! Thank you! Anja from Kiel
I have been working with Eva for a long time now and I am very grateful to have met her in Mallorca. Working together, I have learned to deal with challenges better and have found the fun in training again. I appreciate Eva very much for her caring and professional way. She always manages to give me valuable tools with which I can master problems super. I have become stronger through Eva and have found a great partner to make my dream of Hawaii come true!
My wife and I had a one-on-one coaching session with Eva.
It was a relaxed and friendly atmosphere from the beginning.
During the introductory talk you could already tell that you were in good hands and that you don't have to expect a "chaka day". For us the day was very instructive with many valuable tips.
Except that I now ride a bike with a "pink elephant", I have Eva's voice in my ear telling me how to behave. The day was just great. Many thanks and love from Berlin from Angela and Siggi!
I had definitely imagined my start into my long-distance rookie project differently: No sooner had I snagged a starting spot for Roth 2019 than a serious injury left me completely paralyzed for three months. After several weeks of shock, I then came up with the idea of working on what is known to be very important in competition, but which one often does not face in sufficient form: the psyche. Through Time2Tris I came across Eva and took part in one of her workshops. Strongly inspired by this, we worked together in individual coaching sessions over the next few months and for the first time in 10 years of triathlon I had the feeling that I was facing the sport holistically: Physique and psyche, preparing hand in hand for the big day on July 7, 2019. Together, Eva and I worked out and defined my goal, and to do this, I had lots of little invisible helpers at my side, with whom I was in constant dialogue first during training and then also during the competition. During the long training sessions, I tested which mental helpers worked particularly well for me. I achieved my goal of standing on the starting line in Roth with pride and confidence and crowned the day with a physically and mentally very stable performance that I would not have thought possible beforehand. An experience with all senses that I will carry with me forever. The thank you to Eva cannot be big enough. It comes from the bottom of my heart.
Super Coaching. Eva helped me after a panic attack in the open water very short term in individual coaching via Skype. 2 weeks the middle distance was no problem. Thank you Eva. Super communication in advance. Super coaching.
A middle distance runner often trains for months with a lot of dedication, enthusiasm and commitment to prepare for the season. The form improves steadily, and you are physically optimally prepared for the competitions.
But then, just before things get "serious", one's own head gets in the way. It starts to build up hurdles that prevent you from putting what you have inside you on the track. Fear of competition!
This feeling then leads to a carousel of thoughts, blocks top athletic performances, makes you feel physically uncomfortable.
At this point we got to know you, Eva, via the Internet portal Xing.
In a personal conversation and in individual work we analyzed the situation and worked out our own motivations. With your support, we gradually succeeded in approaching sporting challenges in a more relaxed way, becoming mentally stronger and focusing more on having fun again.
What we particularly appreciate about you is your sympathetic, unagitated manner. With your empathy and your own experiences, you are the authentic advisor for more composure and mental tailwind on the track.
Thank you for that, Eva!

Through the magazine "Tour " I became aware of Eva. At that time I was preparing intensively for Mallorca 312, but the fear of such big events was breathing down my neck, so I asked Eva for help. We analyzed my fears in detail and especially the situation at the start.
Free of fear I went into the race and was able to finish it very well.
A 2nd time I took Eva's help in preparation for the jedermann world championship. This time it was about stress-free downhill riding and mental preparation for such a race.
I am very grateful to Eva for her help. Like a mantra, I repeat the words that make me come down the mountain well. And at the World Championships it was great to experience that I could overtake other female athletes downhill.
And I know that I will get very good tips from Eva for upcoming events. Simply recommended.
Eva takes a highly individual approach to your client's wishes and challenges. She can draw on her wealth of experience as an athlete and thus understands personal concerns immediately. In particular, the immediate practical implementation with direct action, your critical control with gentleness has pleased me extraordinarily well. She was also not too shy to conduct the session bike and swim on a Sunday on site with me. Her suggestions and handling tips in sports preparation, competition and everyday training situations (stress on the bike with cars) are world class and help to focus. She offers unique service that is not often found in the form. Gladly again and I am looking forward to the progress session in spring. Oliver from Aarau/ Switzerland. I am ambitiously doing triathlon on the OD and try to balance job, family and hobby.... Since Eva was on site with me, I could not fully evaluate the criteria in the customer service segment and have awarded a neutral.
