After crossing the Alps some time ago, I have now climbed Kilimanjaro with the Oberallgäu Mountain School. It was the right decision. Once again, everything was perfect. Not just the support and advice in the months and weeks beforehand. We were also looked after by the back office right at the start of the trip. The organization on site was just as perfect. We were traveling with really great people in Africa who did their work with great joy and great care. The Bergschule works with an excellent partner there. In addition, with Christoph Bergmann we not only had an experienced mountain guide who had already been on Kilimandjaro several times, but also a great person who was there for us participants and who had a good feeling for all of us. What I personally also found very pleasant and really appreciated was the fact that we flew directly from Frankfurt to Nairobi and were met by the mountain guide in Frankfurt. We arrived in Nairobi without any stress. The organization and the course of the tour itself was very pleasant overall. We walked the less frequented Rongai route from the north and the Marangu route on the descent. This meant that we were almost on our own. In conclusion, we had a relaxing day and a half for our safari in Amboseli National Park. I will be doing a few more tours with the Oberallgäu Mountain School. Next year I'm going to the Himalayas with them. I have already been there several times and will now go there again with the mountain school.

The mountain guides will try to make the best use of the day in order to reach the hut with the necessary time reserve. Guests who do not have our known starting conditions must be excluded from the tour in extreme cases. Other guests could be accordingly conditionally underchallenged, and must also take into account other group participants.
