My personal experience with the EPAkademie
I joined with enthusiasm and a clear decision. At the same time, my first experience was at times sobering:
For me personally, the heavy use of English terms and modern expressions, which are taken for granted by the younger generation, is rather difficult. I learned marketing in a completely different time and language - I needed (and still need) a lot of familiarization.
I would have liked more clarity about the entry packages at the beginning. I also didn't realize that the main principle was based on advertising and member acquisition. I would have expected this transparency right from the start.
The training section is very comprehensive and explained in detail in a really "foolproof" way - sometimes almost too much so. For me, it seemed a bit pathetic at times, but still helpful.
What I miss is a simple, clearly structured overview - an A4 marketing plan that shows you in small steps: Where am I, how do I proceed, what is the process? Especially at the beginning, when you don't even know the system yet, such basics would be more important than glossy presentations.
I also felt rather insecure and devalued during the Q&A sessions at the beginning because I chose a smaller package and therefore felt less involved. Contacts with people who already have experience would be very valuable here.
Despite all the criticism, I am pleased to be part of the academy and to be able to learn so much. My feedback is not meant to be a devaluation, but an honest contribution from the perspective of a generation that has different experiences and would like to see this bridge built more strongly.
