services provider located in Cheyenne, Wyoming. We deliver high-quality, person-centered care to Veterans and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) through a full continuum of services designed to support independence, dignity, safety, and meaningful engagement in daily life. Since our founding, our mission has remained consistent: to create a home-like environment where every individual is respected, valued, and given the opportunity to thrive, not just survive.
Founded and operated by Richard Brown Jr., MBA (Healthcare Management) and B.S. in Healthcare Administration, Essential Living Support combines professional healthcare expertise with lived experience, military discipline, and a deep personal commitment to community service. Richard is a U.S. Veteran with a Top Secret security clearance, a certified Shared Home Provider, and an experienced healthcare leader who has worked in multiple care settings, including state disability services, home care for Veterans, medical foster home support, and corporate healthcare roles supporting Fortune-level clients. His education, military background, and field experience form the foundation of the organization’s credibility, ethics, and focus on measurable quality care outcomes.
Essential Living Support, LLC officially began operations in Wyoming in 2023, growing from a single-client support model into a licensed, fully insured, multi-service care agency serving both VA-connected Veterans and individuals on Wyoming’s Developmental Disabilities Waiver. In 2024, the company earned VA approval to operate a Medical Foster Home, becoming the first of its kind in Cheyenne — a major milestone that reflects the trust and confidence of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in our care standards, safety policies, and service delivery model.
