FOKUS camps

It's great that the concept focuses on fun. Our child enjoyed English lessons for the first time. We would love to do it again!

The supervisors do much more than a good job, they have captured our children "as a whole" and picked them up emotionally, that is incredibly valuable, a thousand thanks!

First of all I would like to thank the Fokus Ammersee team, Noyan enjoyed it very much overall. This is Noyan's second time at Fokus Camp, the difference this time was the roommates, you can't choose them,
Noyan had a room with 3 boys, two of them brothers, one of them was 14 years old and it seemed to be xenophobic and unfortunately some unpleasant words were said about Noyan in this context, the xenophobia and the words of the older of the two brothers hit Noyan very hard.
Noyan is a German citizen, born in the state capital Munich, I the father was also born in Rosenheim and also have German citizenship, but we have a Turkish migration background with 60 years in Germany and we can't deny that!

We will be attending Focus Camp again for a week in the new year, but we recommend dividing the rooms according to age and placing siblings and relatives either in separate rooms or together in a double room to give the other children the opportunity to get to know each other, have fun and be together during these days.

Why am I sharing this with you so that those responsible can take action to make other families and children more comfortable and avoid racist incidents!

My son had a wonderful week at the camp. Great counselors, delicious food, modern facilities and especially a super English and sports program. Unfortunately, the sports program was somewhat limited due to the weather.

The focus camp team was very friendly and motivated. There were various offers for the children and they were supported according to their learning level.

The preparation for the camp went very well. A lot of information arrived by mail over a few weeks. So our daughter could already get an idea of what to expect. The registration went smoothly and the camp could start. One week of fun! Of course, we also learned something, but the time together with other young people was super for our daughter. All the worries she had beforehand were unfounded. The camp counselors were dedicated, motivated and well chosen for the job. Many thanks to Fokus camps. Thumbs up! From us comes a recommendation!

It was great fun, never boring and always something going on - a great week. The grouping for the lessons was appropriate for one's level of ability. What was not so great was that nine people were accommodated in one small room. Fortunately, we had a lot of fun in the room, but also quite little sleep. The activities were mostly great and the supervisors were all very sympathetic and nice.

My daughter had a lot of fun, a great team of trainers and many opportunities to communicate in English. Thank you very much - gladly again!

Great, varied language camp in a fantastic location. My two sons were in a language camp for the first time. From the beginning everything went great. The guides were well prepared and had a lot of fun and joy with the children. The English learning went practically "alongside". All the activities were in English and even the kids who were not so eloquent got to participate. My two sons liked the stand up paddle boat best and all the activities on and in Lake Constance. They definitely want to come back next year. The hostel has modern 4 bed rooms with shower/WC and sink in each room.

The reception was immediately in English. The guides and leaders were all nice. I immediately had the feeling that our daughter will have a lot of fun.

Our daughter was now the 2nd time in the camp. She is so excited. Next year she will surely come again. Everything went smoothly. Thank you so much 😊

Grds my daughter felt comfortable, that is the most important to me.
What I & my daughter did not like was her "English teacher" he spoke with an accent and was therefore sometimes difficult to understand. To learn a language by listening, I also find the selection therefore poor.

Our children were very happy at the camp. Good idea to have only English speaking counselors. Now dare to speak more English. Great social program was offered despite bad weather. Cell phone time limit is commendable.

I really enjoyed the activities like bowling, pedal boating and swimming. In the evenings we played games. The lessons were not so great, many debates. Many children could already speak English very well, I not so (12 years).

Our daughter was in a camp for the first time (alone without boyfriend/girlfriend or siblings) and of course had a lot of respect for it. However, she quickly made friends with both the participants and the counselors and felt very comfortable. The counselors were young, fun and dynamic and took their responsibility very seriously, lived a structure and clear rules in the camp. Both the English lessons and the sports activities and excursions were fun for our daughter, with the result that she actually only wrote us short updates from time to time and we did not talk on the phone at all during the week.

This was our son's third time attending a FOKUS camp and he has enthusiastically enjoyed each one. The dates are a highlight of his vacations. A positive group atmosphere, great trainers, lots of fun and practice in English - absolutely recommended!

The way the language was taught was very successful. The castle and the swimming trip to Brombachsee were also very nice.

The accommodation could be a little better.

Very, very nice support from the whole team and great program. Vocabulary and also the ability to communicate in English is noticeably improved within a very short time.
