I had never specifically looked for a second citizenship. It all started with a family archive: while sorting through old boxes after renovations at my parents’ house, we found my great-grandfather’s documents. It turned out he was born in the territory which is now Slovenia. At first it was just a curious discovery, so I decided to dig deeper and check whether the family lineage could be officially restored.
