The business was founded in July 2020 by Logan Stanford, a former Army officer who was medically discharged after being injured in service. Logan studied Business Law at the Australian Defence Force Academy and completed a Bachelor of Laws before founding Stanford Financial at the age of 22. He built the business after going through the home loan process as a client himself and finding it unnecessarily complicated, poorly explained, and not genuinely independent. Stanford Financial was created to be the opposite of that experience.
In 2022 Logan was recognised by the Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia with two simultaneous national awards - the MFAA Newcomer of the Year Award and the MFAA Diversified Business Award - the only Queensland recipient in either category that year. Stanford Financial has since settled over $500 million in home loans.
Our team of MFAA accredited brokers has access to over 50 lenders including the major banks, specialist lenders, and boutique institutions not accessible through direct bank channels. This breadth of panel access means we compare the full market for every client rather than presenting the easiest loan to write. We handle every stage of the process from initial assessment and pre-approval through to settlement and ongoing loan management at no cost to the borrower.
