If you want to take out an occupational disability insurance as a student, there are the insurers who tell you how easy and uncomplicated it is and at the same time various contradictory articles and websites that say a lot of different things, but agree on one central point, namely:
Don't believe a word the insurers say and seek professional assistance!
After a short research I came across Mr. Breitag and was in view of the numerous positive voices also on this site in good spirits, but also a bit skeptical: So many good reviews, no costs for me and already has the next few days time for me - where is the catch?
Now that I am successfully insured with two providers thanks to Mr. Breitag, I can say: I could not find one.
From the first appointment, I felt professionally taken care of, both professionally and on a personal level. Mr. Breitag was always available for questions, the scheduling of appointments was flexible and smooth, the conversations always pleasant. After doing my "homework" (catching up on past medical histories, obtaining medical reports...) and the resulting preliminary risk inquiry, it was time to select insurance. I don't think many would consider it entertaining to spend hours with one's insurance broker wading through the nuances of insurance German - with Mr. Breitag, however, that was the case for me. With many examples, testimonials and anecdotes, you as a borrower get the finer points of possible insurance explained to you, always with a focus on your own needs and desires. It is very important to Mr. Breitag to take the client along with him, and the opportunities for queries were so numerous that I almost always felt a bit bad when I didn't have any at the time. When I did have some, they were answered competently, understandably and satisfactorily, as usual, so that I had the best possible basis of information on which to make my decision.
After the decision was made, the applications were put in motion together and now I'm sitting here:
happy and smoothly insured.
As part of my move this fall, I have had to use quite a few services and have been disappointed throughout. From movers dropping my stuff; internet providers telling me that a week without internet isn't so bad after all, despite online obligations, or tradesmen replacing a frosted glass window, right behind my shower, with a clear glass window ("we have a little something to tell you...").
Only one service has never disappointed me during this time, has always been reliable and competent, has always been friendly and solution-oriented, and has left me a spark of hope that Germany is perhaps not a pure service desert after all: the advice provided by Mr. Breitag.
I can only recommend to anyone looking for sensible and competent occupational disability advice to make an appointment with Mr. Breitag. I, for one, am delighted to have found a competent partner for my occupational disability insurance and to no longer have to worry about this for the time being.
Thank you, Mr. Breitag! I know that I will be in good hands with you in the future.
