I can't report any solved problems - I haven't had any yet.
But of inquiries and requests. And what I then experienced really surprised me!
The immediate response to my questions and the prompt implementation of my requests was something I had never experienced before in this form.
I am delighted with this service and feel very well looked after by the hoster FEBAS and the people behind it!
Where is the 5+ star button that I can click? It does not exist! Then I use: RECOMMENDATION!!!

I decided on web hosting, wanted to get started right away, and according to the homepage it advertises "Choose the right web hosting package for your project and be up and running in less than 5 minutes". Good, that's exactly what I need. Then booked directly. Despite the information that instant bank transfer was possible, it was not possible to pay by bank transfer, only Paypal and direct debit. All right, since I wanted to get started right away, I paid directly by express bank transfer, the bank said Febas had received it and it was available immediately. However, all functions are blocked and the customer portal prompts me to pay, even though it has already been done. Well, in the meantime I fiddled around for half an hour (nothing about 5 minutes!) and contacted support. They were unfriendly and said it could take a few hours as their system only synchronizes payments twice a day... (then don't advertise with such bullshit about being ready to go in 5 minutes) and for the incorrectly advertised payment methods, they will adjust the text (hasn't happened yet after days).

All the access data was a bit fiddly, everything has to be logged in separately, there is a separate login for each function (config, FTP, mail, php, etc.!) It cannot be controlled centrally via a master admin. Well, then I had to fiddle around with several logins and passwords.

Then, when I called up the help and links, I noticed that I was directed to a dead page (404), great. You can't look at the construction kit without "activating" it sends a mail every time, even if you just want to look. Then I tried to import my website, but I always get error messages saying that the import took too long. OK. So I move everything over manually via FTP, which makes it completely useless.
Then the content of the construction kit... you have to choose a template, which then ensures that the selectable content is extremely limited. For example, I like template #30 but it doesn't have the background video from template #42. Why not? Now I have to go to template 42 and laboriously try to extract the content manually and then implement it in the other template. I'm tearing my hair out! In general, I found the existing elements extremely poor in the construction kit, zero existing media etc. because everything is limited to the respective template, absolutely incomprehensible. Furthermore, no additional features are included, for example there is not even a Google maps API here, you have to do everything manually yourself. I have left all the stuff and manually written my html, css, and js files, because the construction kit is not usable - too bad.

Performance scores of the webhost server were rather mediocre (e.g. GTmetrix a B87 with the same homepage which is otherwise on A94), first contentful paint was at 1.4s, with the previous provider at 0.8s.

I am bombarded by red warning messages everywhere that I should please activate direct debit, while the site advertises casual prepaid options without commitment. I had to block it with Adblocker because there is no "No thanks" button.

The tldr; is that it is perfectly ok in terms of price, but everything else is rather disappointing. I was particularly annoyed by the brash communication from support and the less than accurate marketing. I will be moving again.

Unfortunately, the customer is targeting us. The content of the customer's website gives the impression that the customer is deliberately trying to harm or provoke us. We think that's a real shame.

The customer complained that our support was unfriendly and cheeky. We have checked the relevant and only ticket and cannot agree with this. The customer submitted a request at 5:17 p.m. and received an answer and a solution to the problem just 10 minutes later when the order was activated. This shows that we responded quickly and efficiently to the request. We think it is commendable and positive that the customer did not have to wait hours for a response and solution.

The content of our response was neither brash nor unfriendly:

"Thank you for your patience. We have just activated your hosting. With bank transfers, it can take a few hours for the invoice to be marked as paid. Even with a quick transfer, the transactions must first be synchronized by the system, which only happens twice a day. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us."

Nevertheless, the customer rates our customer service with 1 out of 5 stars (poor), the worst grade. There was only one inquiry from the customer.

The expectation of an immediate payment confirmation for a bank transfer is unfortunately also excessive. There is hardly any provider that offers immediate confirmation of a bank transfer. This is generally only the case with PayPal and similar systems. The banks (bank transfers) do not even offer this option in order to implement this technically. Almost all providers, including us, work with a synchronization of transactions that takes place either once a day or several times.

Regarding the toolbox: The customer writes that you cannot view the toolbox beforehand. This is also incorrect. On the offer page (https://www.febas.de/homepage-baukasten/) you can test the construction kit in full before ordering.

Performance: After several tests, we cannot confirm this either. In our tests, we always achieved over 95%, depending on the server location (e.g. London). Differences in the measurement can arise due to the server locations at GTmetrix, as no German servers are available and the latency times to foreign servers can have a disadvantageous effect.

Febas achieved 1st place in an independent speed test (PageSpeed loading time). This test can be viewed here: https://www.hosttest.de/tests/febas-webhosting#pagespeed-results

Access data: All you need is the access data for the customer area. From here, you can automatically log in to LiveConfig (webspace administration) with just one click. The same applies to database administration (phpMyAdmin).

Unfortunately, the other points mentioned are also not entirely true.

We offered the customer a refund, as satisfied customers are very important to us. However, the customer rejected this.

I have been using Febas for over a year and love their product. Easy to use and as expected. Some products are cheaper than normal rates (5$/mo for unlimited email inboxes with unlimited domains), but the domains are more expensive for most TLDs. Also it would be great if the WebHosting plans could also include free .com domains (and not just .de) as it's a more common TLD.

But I am happy with the service- and more than that. On weekdays responses sometimes already come in 30 minutes and even on the weekend I always got high quality replies.

Thanks for your great work, would recommend 10/10.

I am very happy that Febas.de was recommended to me. As a dummy, I have virtually no experience with websites, but Febas.de always provides support. If it gets very late with a question to Febas.de and you don't expect an answer until the next day, you will, surprisingly for me, still get an answer to your question after midnight. I have never experienced this with any other provider. If there were 7 stars, I would give Febas.de 7 stars

My experience so far (since May 2021) makes me recommend Febas without reservation. The professionalism of the support services has always been 'tiptop' over the past 2 1/2 years. All requirements have been met in a qualitatively flawless manner. In this respect, the price-performance ratio is more than just okay. Various other hosters (which I was allowed to get to know in the last 20 years) can take an example from this. The accessibility and the speed in answering inquiries is especially praiseworthy. Also the offers are always interesting. I very rarely give such good ratings. But with/for Febas I make an exception today.

I am really very satisfied with Febas.
I have registered my domain there. Both the offer and its price, as well as the customer service are 1a!

Especially the accessibility of the customer service is excellent. I made a support request regarding DNSSEC on a Saturday in the late afternoon and received an answer from a real employee in less than 1 hour. No call center, no chatbot, just a competent employee who was able to help in a friendly and quick manner.

I can only recommend!
