On his website gitarrenvideounterricht.de, Christian Konrad offers both beginners and advanced guitarists teaching materials for learning and improving guitar playing independently. The focus is on video tutorials. Most of the videos for... guitarists are free of charge. Extensive courses such as "Jazz Chords for Guitar", "Song Accompaniment for Beginners" or the "Pentatonic Workshop" are also part of the offer and can be booked at http://gitarrenvideounterricht.teachable.com.
The course is in my opinion very well and understandably structured. The lessons can be done one after the other, personally I recommend to do the next lesson when you master the completed one. Again, success depends on how often and how long you practice.
For years I have been flirting with learning the guitar. Unfortunately, I have not yet found the time or the opportunity to learn this instrument with the framework that suits me. Learning an instrument purely from books is not my thing, and finding the right video online every time is beyond my time frame.
With this course, I receive weekly learning portions that challenge me, but are appropriate in terms of difficulty. I don't need to comment further on the advantages of an online course with the corresponding flexibility; anyone interested in this course has probably ruled out the other options for themselves.
Christian motivates in his videos and always gives tips on how best to practice. What is missing, of course, is personal feedback on one's own posture and playing style - but that is still possible in this course, you just have to be active yourself.
For me as a 50+ guitar beginner, all videos have been very instructive and I hope that by the end of the course I will be able to play my favorites and have fun doing so.
Conclusion: The price-performance ratio definitely fits. The important thing is self-discipline and sticking to it ;)
The course is very structured. There is a lot of theory taught (for someone who already plays an instrument, some units may be dispensable), but it is a foundation for making music.
I am taking a little creative break after completing about half of the course. At the moment I am satisfied with being able to play small melodies according to notes, the rest is getting a bit too much for me right now, since I have the course "Song Accompaniment for Beginners" in parallel. Since song accompaniment is a bit more important to me, I have to set priorities - both courses next to each other, plus a household of five and work is a bit much.
Conclusion: I recommend the course to anyone who wants to learn a bit of notes, note values, time signatures and counting in addition to chords.
I can only warmly recommend this course if you want to learn guitar.
The prerequisite is to practice and stick with it, even if not everything always works out.
I look forward to each new lesson.
Christian's guitar video lessons are an absolute asset for me. Whether for absolute beginners or, as for me, who has already taught himself a lot for two years. Christian's calm and very understandable way of teaching all that you need little by little, so that playing the guitar is really fun. The course is very well structured and the weekly practice plans and the practice PDFs make it fun to play and keep at it very quickly. For me, it has already closed so many gaps I still had, whether it was reading the leadsheets or understanding measures, strumming patterns or fingerpicking.
The focus here is on understanding, then implementing it on the guitar and having fun with your own progress.
I am enthusiastic! Don't wait, do it! Kind regards Dominik
The course is explained very well, I am grateful to be able to look up every now and then if I did not understand something right away. Parallel to this I am still learning in the course "song accompaniment for beginners". The two courses are a good mix to learn guitar.
A great decision for me was - to book this beginner course - the great methodology, which is applied, with good and helpful tips. Furthermore, the constant availability, if questions torment you, you get a quick answer, the calm and level-headedness of the trainer, who also 'picks you up' in mails with motivating focus, because everything happens within the framework of your precious free time. There is - in my opinion - no overtaxing, unless you gallop forward as in your professional life, without respecting the important pillar of internalization.
All this makes it round for me and whenever time permits: I look forward to every horizon broadening hour with professional trainer including expertise. Thank you very much!
After countless videos on various platforms, this course was the only one that finally made the modes comprehensible to me. I was always stuck in the same positions, wasted a lot of time learning patterns and still there was hardly any progress. Now, I am able to play a solo in different keys of different modes, to find the right notes and to create a mood in my own music consciously based on the knowledge of how the different timbres work. This is theory that is fun, because it can be applied to anyone without having to play technically in the professional league.
The course is structured in an understandable way and you can follow all the explanations. The simple replaying of any licks or riffs is useless if you do not understand what it actually consists of.
A clear recommendation for guitarists who want to understand more and not just play something.
I first found Christian on his YouTube channel and followed him there for a while. His human, sympathetic and yet highly competent manner moved me to purchase 3 courses from him - so far - and I am extremely satisfied with all of them. I would buy them again at any time and can recommend Christian with full conviction.
Finally I have a concrete idea of the modes. Christian conveys with his matter-of-fact and calm manner complex topics well understandable for everyone and very professional. His course is clearly structured didactically super implemented. For me it was exactly what I was looking for.
In order to experience a traceable increase in knowledge with relatively little time and technical effort, these courses are my first choice. According to the motto "What you always wanted to know, but never dared to ask".
I started in 1965 with a traveling guitar. Then 10 years of light music, from Lake Constance to the Ruhr area. But never really learned how to play a solo, which finger patterns there are. Pentatonic, yes, I had heard about it. At that time there was no music school in our country. So last chance to really understand what you have always done. The course is ideally suited for this.
My rating is very good and highly recommended. It is a lot of fun to practice. Christian explains everything very well and I also like his calm manner and the clear pronunciation so that you can follow along well. The practice times are also ideal and you can divide his times as it fits best. Very good is also that you can print everything and that there is an app so that you can go through his lessons again. Thank you Christian for the great course.
For me personally, the course is optimal because I can determine the timing myself and am not under pressure to be able to do the required workload within a week. I can practice as long as my time allows and only continue when I am satisfied with the result.
Christian is the ideal teacher, who conveys the material to be learned in a super way with his calm manner. Keep it up :-)
