At the beginning of the coaching, I was not at all aware of what I needed and to what extent. I always understood (executive) coaching as the exchange of best practices in the classic mentor/mentee dialogue. Although this may be true, the coaching experience with Helge was, or is, something completely different.
Although it is structured and follows the joint processing and discussion of worksheets on the most common leadership topics, where for me the social aspect clearly emerges, my experience so far has been very individual.
I am already aware of many leadership topics, focus areas and best practices, but have never really been able to focus on them or let them live out in my work environment. I've been a leader with a chain on my leg, so to speak. That's why the coaching was quickly aligned with my personal desires and inner conflicts.
Whereas at the beginning of the coaching, or let's say when Helge contacted me, I was still unclear about what I actually wanted and needed and whether coaching would make sense for me at all, today I can enthusiastically and with deep gratitude say: Yes it was and it still is.
Thanks to Helge I have overcome my inner resistance and can proudly and with enormous enthusiasm say: Without Helge I would never be where I am today in this short time. Where? Well, thanks to Helge I did the only right thing that makes the most sense for me: to change my environment, to accept a management position in another company and not just around the corner. This has freed me up enormously and led to a great sense of relief.
In short, the coaching with Helge can not only be something for newcomers to management, but also an important impulse for one's own inner satisfaction and change of perspectives. Many thanks Helge.
